There is a weird tendency in NA and Western EU, tons of parents forcing their kids out when they are just out of uni.

One of my british mates just graduated medical school in London and he got a position in London as a junior doctor. He grew up in London and his parents have a house in a nice neighbourhood. Instead of living with them with his starting salary, which is on the low end until he becomes fully qualified and specialised, he is not allowed back home.

This is retarded in my view because if my son is doing something with his life and he has a job where housing prices to salary (especially public ones) ratio is wonky af, I would let him in until he earns more and just contribute to bills and food.

Brb the dude is now living in a **** tier neighbourhood and he is still burning through cash.

My grandma literally just called me to see if i want to bring my GF over for dinner after we workout.

30 years old and my Grandparents would STILL watch me for life, could live there if wanted to.. and my parents always look after my niece for my sister, any chance they get

I got my first job at 15, when I had to start paying board. I was homeless at 16 when my little summer job came to an end and I started college full time.

I guess maybe having kids was just the done thing then, regardless of whether you really wanted them or were suited for it. Glad that times are changing and kids are now a choice to those who actually want them.

Should make for better parents.
