In this case it was a neighbor who called the police to check on the house. That has to be a pretty ****ty feeling just trying to look out for your neighbors and it results in their death.

With that Amber Guyger case, the neighbor across the hallway testified in court. 2 days after she was sentenced, he was killed. Wonder if anything will happen to the neighbor that called in the welfare check.

I am usually pro cop on this board depending on the situation but lately I've realized that the bad cops outweigh the good ones. A lot of them shouldnt have a badge at all and arent fit for the job. Not only that but you have cops planting drugs and being tyrants on power trips which makes the community hate them more.

He said on the call that the two doors were open, at 2:30 in the morning, and this wasn't usual, so he obviously suspected something wasn't right. For starters, how the hell do you know what's going on in there and 2) if you somehow knew there was no concern, knock on the door yourself. He didn't because like any normal person, he DID think there could be something wrong, like a robbery or something taking place. Accidental or intentional, doesn't look good from what we know.I know that knock an announce applies if they are entering the home (even then, not required) but no idea when announcement becomes a requirement when on someone's property.
