Holy ****ing **** I think I just spent 3 hours working on sights and trigger for M&P. Obviously the sights were tight as all **** but man I cannot for the life of me get the god damn trigger pin to go through while capturing the ****ing trigger return spring. I'm using the yellow slave pin and pushing punches through to placehold and everything and every cot damn time I get the pin through, the cot dang trigger return spring pops out of the pin's path.

In terms of RDS for pistols, what are the undeniable good ones?

RMR
.....
???

Only one I’ve used is the one that came on a SIG 320 Compact.... and it died.... lol.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

RMR is solid though I'm not a fan of the small window and tint. Romeo1s early on (what was on that P320 Compact) were pretty hit or miss. I have one with 8k rounds or so on it but I've seen others croak unexpectedly. The new SIG Romeo1Pro is MUCH improved and pretty tough with the shroud installed. Aimpoint ACRO has my interest but there aren't many out there. For micro pistols I have a Shield RMSw on both of my P365s that I'm pretty happy with so far.

Some of it depends on application too. I run a Romeo3Max on my Carry Optics pistol that I shoot USPSA with. It's far too tall to run any kind of backup irons but that pistol is purpose built for competition.

Seems like I struggled with that as well and I think I used a small screwdriver to kind of push the spring a little so I could get the pin through it? Been so long since I did it, that I can't remember. But I reviewed the video real quick and that's what they did--so I think I did the same.

Thanks. I did one of these about a year ago and all I remember from that was having to buy a set of files to get the new site in lol the trigger and action part was all easy. This has been too...except for this. I tried that, basically, I used my tiny allen wrench I had out in that manner and it was, as with everything else, sooo close. This one is a forward set and the last one was not, I could be making this up but I feel like that difference is a cause or at least major contributor to the headache

Got some shooting in today. Got an error on the Action Target Genesis system towards the end. Something about a track hole issue. I dunno. Wouldn’t work so I left with about 50 rounds left.

I was working on grip specifically and getting the sights to track better. For a while I was trying to do Bob Vogel’s grip, but I think it’s really hard if you don’t train all the time and have gorilla grip strength. So was doing a lot of research from other shooters about grip and I think this video sums it up pretty good about how most of the top guys grip and control the gun.

Went back to the bench, trigger pin went in on first try in just a few minutes lol. Not being 1 AM probably helped. The old leave it and come back deal is tried and true.

Then it was all back together and failed function check. Dead trigger. Standing there looking at the pile of unused parts thinking...was one of those supposed to be in there? 'cause you know you replace several and it comes with multiple springs to choose from for a pull weight based on the flow chart. Like all this time to get it together and now it' bro---oh...the sear disconnect lever is down. *click* that's better

Seems good to go now. Might be too light. It's supposed to be 5.22 lbs based on the flow chart for the springs I used. It'snice. Very short and light though...I want to try a different spring to get the 5.5-6 if this is what 5.22 feels like but I'd have to take the trigger assembly out to do that lol

I dry fired it some (flat face forward set) and then dry fired a performance center stock trigger that I had thought was pretty good and didn't need altered...stock performance center trigger felt like absolute ass aids. huh. Dry fire the plain curved polymer apex AEDCK trigger...feels like a long traveling semi-mush now...thought it was good. Great. Why didn't anybody tell me not to bother with any M&P that doesn't have a flat face forward set trigger?

If only the gun could just come with a Glock Gen5 or VP9 feeling trigger stock this could all be avoided. Not that they are as nice, but, they are totally good enough not to spend money and effort changing them.

Neighbor wanted me to go to a gun show this morning with since he doesn't keep up with prices to know what was deal or not. Everything there was overpriced except for one gun.

It was a really pretty gun and felt amazing in my hand. Sig p226 platinum edition for $600.

While holding the gun I got the strangest sensation that I should start adopting cats and trade my truck for a Subaru

You only trust Glocks because Farley can't do an Apex FSS trigger swap in an M&P that takes normal people less than 10 minutes?

Get the THUNDER RANCH 590 like I have. Shortened stock right off the bat so you don’t have to worry about replacing some fudd stock.
