Quite frankly the misc is a toxic place that embraces toxic masculinity. It's posters are racist, sexist and homophobic. I'm glad this place is following suit and becoming more feminine. It's about damn time.

Let's be real--this site is held together with MySQL bubblegum and PHP popsicle sticks on a platform that EOL'd 6+ years ago. If the admincp isn't responding to simple user group changes (like mod username colors), unchecking reputation from it will likely have unintended (if not catastrophic) results.

LOL I've seen the pics of KENKONG. ******* HATES him. Prob not a good look to post up personal info but I understand the rage.

I never got infractions from him but just bans on making "race baiting" threads, which isn't really a rule just some made up BS. Anyways much of it was trolling but I know some folks were butt hurt about it. One time I joked about the N word in another thread where a guy asked how to greet black folks, which I jokingly to NOT say said word and he (not the mod I was joking around with) tried to ban me for half a year and threatened to perm me for my antics. Anyways it was just JOKES which anyone could see but he deemed it as a "racist post" which was totally fabricated. Admin overturned it thankfully and I was trying to be low-key but couldn't frankly talk about the Amber Guyver case or politics without him on my ass trying to say I race bait when many forum members are casually racist.

Anyways I know I've had my share of bans and try to rustle folks if I violate the rules I'll own up to them. Never disrespected mods or talked **** to them and actually have helped out miscers / contribute on here / positive so to be threatened with a perm ban was kind of alarming.

I called him out before for leaving drop-by troll comments in almost all of the threads I saw him posting in, and for contributing nothing of value. He said he posted valuable content in other sections; which may be true, I never looked into it.

Miscers contribute enough through escapism, talking about other **** that is bothering us, having a sense of community. Despite the jokes about miscers most of us lift and want to improve ourselves. There's only so many times you can talk about dieting, supplementing, periodization, etc before it gets redundant. I was a supplement rep, did PL meets, grappling/MMA. I come here for fun and to act a little out of character sometimes or discuss non-lifting things.

There is a value to this section and I think the owners recognize it.

I agree, I post a mix of content. Sometimes it's fun to just joke around and play on here, but I never saw him post anything of value.

I used to post more heavily in the Losing Fat and Nutrition sections but it got boring fast. Literally spent most of my time telling people to read the stickies. If people actually read the stickies, 99% of threads would never be created.

Not going to lie, I am starting to get concerned about some people's attitude towards a relatively free forum section. Blatant breaches and obvious extreme anti-social behavior should never be tolerated but some people are now trying mold grey areas into their preferences. Contribution is quite subjective.

Sometimes a good grilling, silly joke or troll is needed to relieve the stress of life. Just like somehow a serious thread--for example science--contributes by teaching posters new concepts and engaging others sides of their brain. People are creating problems where they aren't any. Some just like chaos, seeing an opportune time for them to inject their unpliable beliefs.

As for mods well the site is first and foremost a business and they are representational. You definitely want them to be somewhat impartial but also not robots. Then again, that's purely up to the owners. You would definitely have to give up some controversial views or extreme biases, which is fine but what isn't fine IMO is that to spill-off into posters. I think the benefit of being a poster is that you don't have to take these considerations.

TBH I don't know wtf is going on lol, maybe we're reading way too much into this. Time will tell.
