The only times my height (5 foot 8) has been a major problem is in three places/scenarios:

1. Online Dating (although pretty much everyone I know struggles there)
2. Girls that are 5 foot 10+ and deserve to be able to only go for 6+ dudes
3. The misc

You bros really need to get out there more. I'm short, not as big/lean as a lot of dudes here, and a currycel, but I've done so much better the past few months by making a more concerted effort to meet people IRL and developing a better personality. I'm by no means the life of the party still, but I worked really hard on conversing with people and just being more positive overall and I've received a lot more female attention. That's just a side effect, however, to the fact that I'm so much happier and engaging than I was when I was filling my head with all this biological determinism that dominates these forums.

There is a difference between a 5'8 good looking dude and a 5'4 average looking dude. Now days the latter is going to struggle. People care more about looks and height than ever before. Back in the 70s and 80s nobody gave a fuk.

I'm 6'1 and going to a bar or the gym is a rude awakening at times

Not everyone shrinks as they age. Disc degradation has many factors. 2" is extreme and will have a few contributing factors - for example you've been sitting in an office chair for many decades. lol @ being paranoid about being over 6ft when you're old enough to not care about standing up.

Grandkids will love and respect a tall grandpa more than a manlet grandpa. In fact they might even pick on manlet grandpa.

And I would think sitting in a computer chair would help prevent disk degeneration as it is not a strenuous activity and can relieve pressure on your back. People who work in the trades or something probably do the most destruction to their bodies and see the most degeneration with age.

The statistics in this case are kind of meaningless. The average height for ALL males may be 5'10, but that includes Mexicans, Asians, Blacks, etc. Most of those groups don't even count for women. Women want white men as shown by statistics and the average height for white males is around 6'0. MOST guys who go out clubbing are white dudes...so when a 6'0-6'2 miscer says they felt average when they go out clubbing they are not being dramatic...they legitimately were close to average when they were around their peer group.

I'm still not convinced height matters that much. I went to Spain with some friends last summer and my dude is like 5'6/5'7" and when we went to the clubs he was still pulling girls. He is pretty average looking, but is a ginger, so maybe the Spanish girls liked him being exotic but it seemed to me that height didnt matter.

The tallest averages in the world are all still around 5'11-6ft/182-184cm, countries like Norway, Croatia etc, Most countries with a dominate white populations have an average height of around 5'8-10 for example Australia which has a high % of males with solid testosterone.

6'2--legit as in barefoot--people are being dramatic or seeking attention. It is well clear of the total global male population and even with your case, it's well clear of the total average of white males - unless you live in some of these specific countries.

Being white is another another issue, but we have people of all races complaining about height. The internet is a cesspool for breeding inaccurate averages and realities. If you're 5'10-6'2 and complaining then you are being dramatic.

People are only noticing those taller than them when they go to to clubs etc. It's a self-confirming bias, and I bet you they choose to ignore all the people they are taller than. All this anecdotal paranoia is laughable.

So really what it comes down to is not that they are short, it's just that everyone wants to be above the average yet they don't realize if everyone got their wish then they would all be average.

That's part of it yeah, but the misc view is definitely a meme. The idea you should rot if you're not of a certain height.

And even when you see tall dudes, they're not always with hot girls, because that's not how dating works and not every tall guy is confident.

I live in a country where 5'11-6ft is average male height... 6'2 is not that tall over here.

Like I said in clubs and chit you'll feel average or just above it. Lots of dudes wear shoes with massive heels though so that could also be the reason.

6'2--legit as in barefoot--people are being dramatic or seeking attention. It is well clear of the total global male population and even with your case, it's well clear of the total average of white males - unless you live in some of these specific countries.

Being white is another another issue, but we have people of all races complaining about height. The internet is a cesspool for breeding inaccurate averages and realities. If you're 5'10-6'2 and complaining then you are being dramatic.

People are only noticing those taller than them when they go to to clubs etc. It's a self-confirming bias, and I bet you they choose to ignore all the people they are taller than. All this anecdotal paranoia is laughable.

So really what it comes down to is not that they are short, it's just that everyone wants to be above the average yet they don't realize if everyone got their wish then they would all be average.
And just to add if you're 2-3 inches taller than the average then yes, you are tall by that very definition. You don't have to be half a foot above average to be considered tall, that would be classified as "Very tall". Fuk me, I wouldn't want to know how these people would cope being actually short, like 5ft6.
