You mean the same guys that don't do any deadlift variation because it's stupid and yet when they turn sideways they are about as thick as a sheet of notebook paper?

I'll do this in 10 days or so, it doesn't really fit in right now.

I still have to do the pull up challenge as well but I'll do that in the next 2-3 days

228 lbs

Yea its my deload week after competing so it was 4x4 @ rpe 5-6, also trialling a new set up which sacrifices speed off the floor but hopefully gets me into a better starting position to be able to finish the lift

Next week is 3x6 @ 6 so ill likely use the same weight @ 405

Das it mayne. I didn't put a time limit on here because I would like to make it an ongoing thing.

matt london has already explained how bobby was really only squatting 315 when you took leverage into account

A power clean is all technique. If you really want to be a hardcore ******* and talk about the most "functional" exercise and use the clean and strength in the same sentence you should go off someone's muscle clean because there is little to no technique in a muscle clean, as the name implies, it's all strength.

I can post big power cleans by skinny AF chinese lifters but I'm too lazy atm

power cleans are all about how quick you can move your body under the weight. very little to do with strength; more so speed. I’d rather fight a guy who can clean 405 than a guy who squats 700lb+

Bunch of *******s srs.
405 is too light for me. Currently i'm 6'0 and 225.

I did 505 for 5 reps the other day with a crippled arm.

How do we figure out my crippled arm equation? Does my 505 for 5 equal like 505 for 10 if my right arm was straight or something?

Very good job to all the other competitors. But I hate going above 5 reps on anything. And I really don't feel like doing 405 for 30 right now. But overall good video submissions from everyone here. Keep up the good work.

Funny all the people trashing deads have no real idea.

The deadlift requires and engagement of all the muscles of the body without the body first being put under load. It is why so many people struggle to not round..etc.

Building a strong deadlift is in my opinion one of the foundations of lifting. The ability to engage your core and not be overcome with the load will benefit across the board.

Those that trash the deadlift are only shorting themselves.

Props to all those that post up in here (regardless of weight). I wish I too could play but I will just have to cheer on you guys.....but boy I really do miss the feel of a bar bending!

Well said. I just picture all the guys in here talking chit trying to pull 3 plates, going all catback and hitching to get it to lockout, and it makes me chuckle.

Also the irony of them being on a bodybuilding forum and trashing people that actually lift simply because how they choose to lift is not their own personal preference is fkn hilarious.

Yeah there's been a couple of people coming around who aren't strong enough to deadlift any significant amount of weight pretending that they think the lift is useless so that their ego stays intact.

I haven't deadlifted since maybe 2014 but figured I'd try this today

405 x 10, I wanted more but the chitty over-knurled bar was tearing chunks out of both my shins. I'll try again in a couple of weeks with a smooth bar.
