Lol I remember wearing the monochromatic velvet tracksuits. Owned one in every color. You knew you were fancy when you had the Juicy Couture track suit with the bedazzled gemstone butt lol.

Feels strange that we're now using the word "historical" for these pics. But they are 18-19 years ago. Back in 2001, I thought 1981-1982 was ancient.

Trolling aol chat rooms was legit.

I was too busy getting copious amounts of pussy in the early 2000s to eff with the internet (outside of Honda-tech).

OMFG I forgot about this. I had one of these. mine held like 8-12 songs depending on the size. it was the coolest thing ever not to have music skip when you hit a bump in the car or went running.

I'm 100% sure it's nostalgia, but the late 90s/early 2000s just felt special. Technology was so mindblowing and exciting but didn't seem to dominate people's time and attention the way it does now.

It's not nostalgia brah, it was legit like that.

I'm a late 80s/early 90s kid through and through, so I don't have the rose-tinted glasses a lot of people in here have.

The styles were super questionable and mtv-culture at the time was a bit trash, but all-in-all, it was a good time.

The good ole days. Before games were filled with DLCs that you had to buy to own the complete game and you had to work to get cosmetics instead of buying them.

Thats a large part of why it was great. Remeebr when we all used to speak to each other in public? When more people knew their neighbors? When girls were 10x less awkward if you struck up a conversation with them irl? Unlike now when half of the girls under 30 can barely hold a conversation and are awkward as fuk interacting spontaneously IRL, its crazy how badly our society's social skills have eroded in just a couple of decades.

Technology has hurt us just as much as it has helped us on a social level srs.
