had a funny dream the other night that they banned guns completely, but as some type of relief the government sent out Airsoft conversion kits to pistol owners. and instead of being against it, everybody loved it and all got into airsoft shooting, took it seriously and went to the range with them lol

Anything can be over-gassed, and thevastmajority of the AR type rifles out there are carbine-gas 16", many of which run very well, port sizes vary considerably. But, it's just not as good as a 16" mid-gas. But then you get a bunch of (hipster) people who refuse a 16" carbine because they don't think it's optimal, meanwhile they run a 3.00 ounce carbine buffer in an over-gassed mid length lol

Anyone got a link to a cool tent? Camping tent. Doesn’t need to be a lightweight backpacking tent.

I want to set it up in the backyard so the kid and I can camp out overnight for fun. I want it to be something cool so he gets all excited about it. I want one of those $1500 outfitter tents from cabelas that has a wood stove and chimney but my wife said I’m retarded.

So what’s something cool for like Tree fiddy or less.

Service life. Stainless has the least service life, while chrome lined has the most.

Technically, SS has better accuracy IF the rifling is done well, where as chrome lined barrels may have imperfections. If the SS rifling is cut badly, then accuracy is off, and no better than badly done chromed lined.

Weird that the desc says "HEAVY" chromed lined which will tend to suggest accuracy is sacrificed for service life.

Hammer forged is just the way a barrel itself is made (formed). It's a process where metal is beat over and over until if forms a barrel profile over the rifling.

I mean...AK's are only going to be so accurate anyway. If it does 3-4" at 100 yards you're doing fantastic.

I really hate dealing with some gun shop employees. So condescending.

Not sure if it’s because they are mad that they are 40 and making 20k a year behind a gun counter or if they are bitter about some of the people they have to deal with daily but still.

Easy way to know ATF's stance on anything:

Ask yourself: Would this be fun/cool to own?
If you answered "yes", more than likely the ATF has ruled it as an NFA item.

I do still really like all of my Trijicon HD's, but I'm leaning Ameriglo Hackathorn by default now for these reasons:

*I find the tighter square notch is more conducive to slow precise shooting with little to zero effect on speed
*Tritium is front sight only which is a much cleaner and quicker acquisition in low light and better for close and fast where all you really see/need to see is the front sight, and there's no awkward positioning where you confused which sight is the front or have to think about it etc it's just super KISS
*Cheaper, probably mostly because there's only 1 tritium vial vs 3
*Not that I personally have had much issue with this, but, they are much less cut-you-to-pieces sharp

IF the Trij HD's were more readily available in the green front/yellow rear tritium setup (I have one set like that on a G19 and it's TST) and maybe cost a little less, that would be different

Back before the HD sights my go-to was Ameriglo Pro Operator which was readily available with green front/yellow rear tritium, I really think if I'm going to hvae tritium in all 3 spots, the rears should be yellow or orange (to differentiate, and because they are less bright and less eye catching than the green)

Ameriglo annoyance:The front sight paint is a little bit recessed and it gets muzzle blasted, but doesn't wipe clean with just a thumb or rag really easy like the HD does, you need a q-tip or some **** to gointhe front sight to wipe the crap off and get full visibility back. Just, annoying

I think the wisdom is, for factory manufactured suppressors it's cool, but not for Form 1.

That said, it's only a matter of time before some c_nt decides to write a letter. It's always better NOT to ask.

the listing does notw "the rpk flash hider in the pictures is gone and now there's a muzzle nut (shown as well), more of these flash hiders will arrive sooner or later, there's a lot of aftermarket muzzle devices that can be had and are better anyway. " - i have no idea what this means
