OP while I largely agree (and mostly honor) with your(and this sites rules) sentiment, I would like to express this viewpoint in consideration.

The carried away insulting that never seems to die down in certain threads really clutters some what could be good conversations.

And some small insults are frankly completely uncalled for, and way over the top.

Saying that....

I wholeheartedly agree with the need to limit personal insults here, as many are excessive and over the top.

Saying that I would hope the enforcement would be "within reason or reasonable amount" realizing the underlying nature of this forum and it's member, specifically this subsection.

A little playful jabs and back and forth banter is fun, and part of what draws people here in some ways, as well as part of the characteristics of people who are naturally drawn to this site and this section.

In a non-insulting to women , but as easy of a descriptive way I can put it- Let's please not "feminize" this place.

The regular posters here know who's playing around and who's being a complete ass.

And I get the fine line part of that.

I think the main issue is that both sides are chit slingers. "Orange cheeto", "trumpanzees", "libcucks"

The Trump fan base doesn't like Rubio, Bush, McCain, etc. because they are self-serving neocon establishment politicians. Trump ran on ideas that many people liked, but the establishment figures wouldn't touch because of self interests or because they are politically risky (they only care about political standing/reelection).

One of the more disheartening things I see here from "insulters" is the obvious early childhood struggles a few posters went through.

The ones that constantly feel the need to counter with "dumb" "stupid" "low IQ' "retarded" or any form of questioning of intellectual capacity on a almost every argument regular basis.

I'ts often a defense mechanism created from constantly being called that by a father, mother, older sibling, etc, as a child.

I've seen that mindset destroy peoples self esteem for life, or veer them into a paranoid personality disorder complex.
