Minors should not have the ability to decide life-altering decisions like that. But individuals such as yourself are so intent on pushing your agenda that the collateral damage doesn't matter.
We don't allow minors to have sex with adults for the same reason. We don't believe minors have the mental capacity to yet understand the repercussions of a life-altering decision physically and emotionally. But some people don't have a problem with minors cutting their dinks off or vice-versa.
So parents can prevent their kids from getting a tattoo or piercing if they're under a certain age; but they shouldn't, in your view, be able to stop their own kids from mutilating their genitalia. Makes sense.

If a 12YO can make the choice to have their genitals altered by an adult why can't they make other choices about their genitals and adults?

there is it abolutely no parralel to the example you've given as underage sex is to protect minors from predatory older men coercing them, transgenderism has to do with alligning a person's mental awareness of themself with their physical being, it's for the WELLBEING of the indivdual and it comes from a desire from within that individual
