So I live in one of those 14 provinces that are currently being locked down till the 3rd of april, I cant leave and everything apart from food supermarkets is closed. Bored as fuk, so ask me anything

This is a difficult question. I think we are the only (apart from China) country that is actually doing something to try to stop this virus, seems like everybody else is downplaying it imo, US included.

That being said, I doubt this is going to work because most italians are dumb, and there were many cases of people taking trains from Milan to escape the city before this became official. Also cops arent even able to control QUARANTINED people (there was a guy that was tested positive a couple of days ago that was supposed to be quarantined and he went on a vacation lol)..so that really tells you how nobody here really seems to give a chit and most people are selfish and only think about themselves. That will lead to the virus continuing being spread around the country, thus I think we'll be locked down for many months..but I hope Im wrong.

Is this all a ploy to correct low birthrates in western countries? They figure that people on lockdown are inevitably going to start fuking each other, so this is a good way to increase populations without having to let in immigrants.

What is the Italian approach to death in old age?

Do they hang on and want to live for ever, or are they c'est la vie and will refuse treatment and lots of medicines?

Also, how old are the people in your region/ province? Lot's of oldcels? I understand Italy has one of the oldest populations in the world.

Many times, I enjoy travelling and Im in a good spot financially. I was actually supposed to fly to the US in a week but they cancelled my flight

Not sure about the age, but we have a lot of elders here so its important to try not to spread the virus

I dont know anyone with the virus

Shopping is fine, as I said food markets are open and If Ill need clothes or something I can order them online

Tinder was never really popular here, except for the big cities like Milan or Rome. Still had fun with it though but now Im in a relationship

I believe its because it started here, but other european countries will catch up if they dont start doing something. As i said, I believe the government did the right thing, the problem is that the people here dont listen/care so the virus will continue to spread

My mother is against medicine and so are many of her friends lol. But there are also many oldcels that do everything in their power to try and live as much as possible, so its 50/50 really.

Where I live is FULL of oldcels, which is the scary part. If the virus starts to spread heavily here they'll drop like flies

Have you been tested for it? What’s the testing process like? What are you supposed to do if you have symptoms? Here they are telling people not to go to the hospital. Are there legal consequences if you break the quarantine?

Its really bad. Many businesses are closing for good since they cant stay open anyways and I forsee many suicides in the future since our government isnt really helping them (yet). Its gotta be hard seeing your business, be it a clothes market, a gym, a florist etc pile in debts after debts and theres nothing you can do about it.

People are both scared and ridiculing it, Im actually one of the few people that agrees with the governments decision, although I fully comprehend those against it like the businesses owners I mentioned above.

It will get really bad imo since this is not enough to stop the virus from spreading, and I know for a fact many people wont listen. It will be a chit show

We are pretty health conscious here in the north, most people have a balanced diet and do some sort of exercise. Cant say the same about the south though

I have not been tested, but I probably will in the next couple of days. If you have symptoms you have to call your doctor and he will tell you what to do. Nobody is forced to go get tested but its recommended since you can catch it and dont show any symptoms.

Yes, there are legal consequences. There was a case a couple of days ago of a guy that was tested positive yet he went on a vacation in Trentino and broke his leg while he was skiing..when they took him to the hospital they found out he was supposed to be quarantined and now he will probably face jail time
