Things are about to start getting legit Real

My apartment complex just sent out an email that there have been multiple car burglaries and attempts today, I live in a pretty decent Apartment complex.

Then my gym just shut down because 4 peoples vehicles were stolen from leaving their keys at the front desk in the normal key area.

Store on the corner of my street got robbed by guys with machetes. Usually a small quiet town. It's only gonna get worse, we fukt. Oh well

i agree but these two things happening together in close proximity

and 4 cars stolen at once in broad daylight from a gym parking lot is not typical car thief behavior, and this is coming from a cop.

yeah my gf was there she said they asked everyone to come get their keys because someone came up and said theirs were missing, 3 more people said theirs were missing then they told them to go look outside for their cars and they were gone, they called the police and the police told them to close the gym

also mind you its a golds gym sized gym, not lifetime level and the front facade is windows with the front desk right at the windows and the key rings along the front desk, so its not the most Thief friendly situation.

This seems much more like an act done out of desperation and not calculated planning.

One car, yeah, but four cars? Sounds pretty planned to me. First of all you'd need four people. I'd be pissed at the receptionist at a small gym handing out car keys to shady characters.

During this time it would make more sense for people to be desperate for food and supplies? Not cars? So in that case they would probably try to break into your apartment or a grocery store after hours.

However I do agree this behavior will become more widespread as this situation drags on. Because teenagers are bored and adults have nowhere to party so they'll just get together outside and do chit.
