It's a hot varmint round that is too much for duck, goose and turkey and not enough for deer, boar and bear.

You really need 2 more guns

I'd get a .222 as a varmint gun (which is easy to make your own loads close to .22 Hornet levels for the smaller stuff even down to rabbits) and a 30-06 for the deer/boar/bear.

Mods are running this account.

very odd that they provide them top cover for an obvious troll.

Also very odd a tough guy like bolo would need mod protection.

Also very odd he allegedly "proved his identity to mods" yet wont post a simple spoon pic.

Mods also provide top cover for frankconstanza.

Why go through so much effort to provide protection for troll accounts unless you are them?

bozz - "keep harassing him and you'll be banned he's already verified his identity"

why would bozz have a vested intrest in a troll account that spams nearly daily the same dumb thread?

maybe because their gig is up.

T529 is the second troll account Ive been accused of "harrassing", the other being frankconstanza.

Why are mods interested in protecting known frauds? why does frank still even have an account after redraider stated he had an active alt?

Lol few years back mods also protected an obvious fraud name cicksunt and banned everyone who mocked that very *******. I'm sure they did the same to several other trolls.

Sorry mods but your 'verification' ain't worth a ****

.243 is a great gun for deer.

Wouldn't use it for hog unless you have dogs.

But OP already has plenty of experience hog hunting.

Good luck

Saw a guy accidentally shooting his mate due to that error so it is pretty much something important.

Besides OPs raging responses makes it funny. So who cares who is triggered by what.

A .243 is a great deer gun, it's a little small for elk/moose. That's not to say you can't use it for them but you just better be damn confident in your shot placement. There isn't much room for error.

For what you want to hunt I think a .270, .308 or a 30-06 would've been a better "one gun for all" choice. a 7mm mag is a little fast for deer and can do a lot of front end damage, but its a great elk/moose calibre.

Happy hunting! There is nothing more satisfying than having meat you know exactly where it's been from field to table. And it's delicious.

A .243 will work but if you don't land your shot perfect you'll have to track through the woods and that chit isn't fun trust me. I use a .270 and that's the lowest energy cartridge I'd be comfortable shooting deer with. I used to use either 7 mag or .30-06 and both of those would fukn drop em like a sack of taters

Bingo
308 is best all rounder under 500 yards.

If I had to buy one caliber though I’d buy a 6.5 creedmoor. Match quality factory ammo, half the recoil of 308. Flatter shooting less wind drift. Might struggle on bigger game, elk/water buffalo/bear past a few hundred

When you want a real challenge op get a Mathews. No better feeling then spot and stalk bow hunting
