Sold the Magpul FRS, A2 assembly, and .308 Buffer/Spring.

Selling parts that were sitting in boxes in my basement has now netted me $500, still have another ~$200 worth of stuff to move, assuming I don't sell the Accupoint...

About to order a 24 inch WC 6.5 creedmore barrel to swap out with my 308 aero. Atlas bipod at the front and also set up a big ass FOREGRIP on it so I can take it to a Carbine course

think it'd be alpha?

edit: wow. video circulating on twitter of denver police taking down a guy that was at a protest, concealed carrying. sources say the wind blew up his shirt and the police saw the gun, and about 5 officers straight up mauled him

be careful swapping out parts on a .308 AR, that platform typically is very picky with which parts will work and which will not.

i would highly recommend using an aero 6.5 barrel for your aero upper.

Isn’t Denver where they had one of those “Occupy” protests against police brutality a few years ago, and the cops showed up and beat the shyt out of a few people?

wouldn't suprise me. Supposedly they banned open carry, and the guy was carrying an OWB with his long shirt pulled down over it... the wind blew it up and that happened.

ACAB for Denver seems like a true statement. Not one for grouping, but from the large presence here and their choice to support the law, may have to throw a pass and toss that label.
the above post is not serious and is for entertainment purposes only.
Current state of home gym...started with an empty basement 4 weeks ago and my wife's bowflex dumbbells. It's about 50/50 between new and used purchases. Planning to make a big order with Rep Fitness tomorrow when they reopen for preorders. Gym membership cancelled.

i hear ya man, i got some dip attachments too. so much better to be doing that exercise on actual equipment meant for it and not on something cheap and improvised, like bar stools.

its probably going to come in pieces on pallets. at least thats how my leg extension machine came. this cable crossover is going to be over 600 lbs fully assembled though. theres no way id be able to carry that to its final position by myself.

it is, but at the time i ordered it the website said it would ship within 3 weeks of IL reopening, which could have potentially meant a very long time. knowing itl be about 6 weeks give or take is better than not even knowing.

Smoked a USDA Choice tenderloin Chateaubriand roast Saturday. Trimmed by hand. Salted and let sit for a few hours in the fridge, then rubbed and wrapped to set up overnight in the fridge.

Smoked at 250F using black cherry wood logs until 115F internal temp, then right onto a screaming hot cast iron for 30 seconds per side to crust the exterior.

Served with Au Jus and hot local horseradish.

Knocking back a few beers waiting for the initial fire to settle down, enjoying a spring day in the sun

End result. Didn't need a steak knife once sliced and plated, was cutting it with a fork.

Its not ever legal to carry on gov't property as far as I know so can't be surprised when you get arrested. Luckily the situation didn't escalate with the guy resisting, but that only happened because there were 5 cops there. I'm not saying the guy would have tried something, I am saying the cops felt more at ease with more backup in the situation.

Resisting when illegally carrying is baaaad. The protester clearly didn't know what he was there for IMO.

I've been getting fed up with how little room I have in the freezer in my side by side refrigerator recently and impulse bought a returned french door fridge at Lowe's yesterday. Only 800 bucks and it's the nice kind with the pullout freezer on the bottom that makes MUCH better use of space than the french door style. Gets here friday, can't wait to stock it with meat.

This is pretty similar to what I have now:

And this is what we're getting:

Just being able to throw frozen stuff on top of each other and not have to worry about them being perfectly stacked so they don't fall out when I open the freezer is going to be so convenient. I'm actually really excited.
And relief washes over me in an awesome wave

Yeah. One of the first purchases when we moved into our new house. For the most part, sat half empty. Now it's filled at capacity. LOL. It's only 10.5 cubic ft., but plenty large enough for us.

Back in December, I needed to pick up my renewed CCL at the county police headquarters.

I got in line for the metal detector behind a visiting officer from another county and had to wait. They had him take off all of his metal gear, firearm, ammunition, etc. and put it in a tray.

He walked through the detector, got wanded by a manlet officer, then proceeded to fully gear back up and go on his way. I was like, WTF did I just watch?

I'm actually really excited.
is that a Samsung?

Do not buy Samsung appliances. They are ****ing horrible. All of them. Fridges, washers/dryers. Just don't.
