1) schools are closed

2) some people have families and mortgages and can't just "go back to school" because the career they've had for decades was shut down by the govt. Not everyone has parents to live with. Some people ARE the parents to live with.

I owned a home, and 5 kids, and a housewife, and live off my life savings for six months. I never even filed for unemployment. There are actually smart people out there that plan for disasters because they don't want to have to depend on others. **** the people that aren't smart enough to have a plan B. They are the reason the world is trash.

"sorry folks. 30 million dumb ****s didn't have a plan b so your lives don't matter"

I don't care about stupid people. People dying from Covid didn't have a choice.

Both my sister and brother own their own business and have been hit hard by this. They aren't complaining because they know what's actually matters.

It’s kinda scary(albeit not surprising) how effective the media has been at labelling protestors as idiots, racists, rednecks, *insert whatever label here”. Like Linux said the damage to his county from the shutdown will almost certainly prove to be far, far worse than the virus itself. On top of that, the govt. is pissing all over people’s constitutional rights. Yet people peaceably protesting the measures are attacked, which is pretty sad.

News flash: a way, way, way higher percentage of people are living with less than six months savings than are in groups at risk for dying of covid.

Normies don't protest, mostly because it accomplishes precisely nothing. It's a way to meet other people on the extreme ends of the political spectrum and jerk each other off for a few hours. People in power don't give a fukk.

What kind of people do you think go to feminism or BLM protests?

Not left bro. I'm moderate/conservative in most of my beliefs.

The #1 priority is fighting covid or nothing else matters. We will be right back where we are now, again and again. Even if there were no orders, most people are afraid to go out and will continue to be afraid until its handled.

Like I said, most of their job are gone forever.

But no, let's reopen and find out there are no customers and MAKE our situation with covid WORSE. Strong logic.

It's no different than any other protest. Do black lives matter protests stop cops from shooting black people? No. Did the protests after Trump was elected make him not the president? No. The point is to make a statement

I think his point is a lot of industries are collapsing now no matter what. Tourism for example is absolutely ****ed, even if the rules were relaxed not many people are gonna want to travel this summer, so people are gonna be losing their jobs there, businesses are gonna have to close down, obvs that’s sad but it’s the reality of what’s gonna happen, they’ve got to find something else to do
