I really hope we reign in this idiocy soon or else we are fukked as a nation.

Just wow at being a cop nowadays. Imagine joining the police, most likely with intent to help people and serve a purpose, just to be talked down to, spit on, harassed and maligned by the same people you wanted to help. Then imagine having vast authority awarded to you to maintain the peace, then getting fired for using said authority. Their bosses turn there backs, their mayors and governors turn their backs, and they are left out to dry when they do the very thing they were trained and entrusted to do.

All that for 50K/yr....

I just talked to a cop in a neighboring state from mine yesterday and they said they're basically not doing much besides answering calls. No traffic stops or proactive work. I'm glad that states officials are on their side. What's the point in doing your job when you're just going to get charged for BS?

These are COVID times though. Being up in anyones face is wrong. But it's ok in your opinion because that man is a police officer and doesn't deserve to live. Just lol. You wouldn't think it's ok for anyone to do that to you or your sons during a pandemic, now would you?
