There are only 3.5M registered Rugby players in the whole world. About 5.2M people play american football, in the U.S. alone.

Also, is everyone just gonna ignore that Sam said he was a college offensive lineman and then showed a video where he's on the struggle bus squatting a 3 plate double lol? I can only imagine that the quality of college football in the UK is about equal to a 1A high school in Alabama that goes .500 year in and year out

It doesn’t matter that he barely made the regular season bro because he DID make it. Full stop
And all as an athlete physically past his prime, having never played the game and not in the top 100 most athletic in both rugby codes combined.
Yet people on here are saying division 3 college players are more athletic.

No one else in the world plays American Football so they would first have to establish themselves in their national sport and then take the risk of starting from scratch in a whole new sport (NFL) while in their peak in their respective sport.
That is ignoring all other factors like love of the game they grew up playing, stability in their chosen sport, working class nature where money is not the be all and end all.
As I’ve said before Hayne went to NFL after his peak as he had achieved money and his goals so his risk was minimal and the NFL/college football is littered with Australian punters who either are using it for an after retirement gig or who couldn’t crack the Aussie Rules game in Australia

US Football of smack ass is about specialties. We have the fastest sons, we have the biggest sons, we have the strongest sons, we have the pissfuls, the assfuls, the smack ass daddies, because those particular attributes are what is needed for their particular positions. S P E C I A L T I E S. The rugbys of ass aren't about specialties. So, it's like comparing a powerlifter (nfl of piss)who only cares about squat deadlift and bench, to a crossfitter (rugby of ass), who has to do a whole bunch of piss.

Do you think that a ping pong star would be more globally recognized than a star NFL quarterback, or a Rugby star? Because Ping pong has 900M fans globally.
I just can't see it. The only place Radradra would be more recognized than NFL stars are countries in which Rugby dominates. Australia, France, England, New Zealand, South Africa. No surprise an Australian would think a Rugby star is more recognizable (AUS isn't the centre of the world either, btw).
The NFL has a stronger presence through social media, the internet, TV deals, brand sponsorship, etc. Some of the richest athletes in the world are football players, that alone will gain them more global recognition than any Rugby player.
