But aren't you implying that these countries ONLY used mask as a preventative? Didn't some countries ban foreign travelers, have checkpoints upon entry where they would get your temperature and if it was high you weren't allowed to enter, have smaller populations so it was easier to control, I even remember seeing videos of them spraying in the city, I would assume it was disinfectant spray.

I think the funniest thing about all of this is how these covidcels care so much about all of this all of a sudden.

It's being spread in the air on tiny particles that can remain airborne for hours. It's a particular problem in closed spaces with circulating air. The masks people are making at home out of t-shirts won't do anything to prevent those infections.

Stay locked down, masked, and panicked if you want, but none of this is going to stop until people take off the masks, go back to normal daily activities, and herd immunity is created. Oldcels and such can isolate or self-quarantine, but they won't be safe until this thing runs through the population and starts to disappear on its own. Homemade masks will not protect them.

The fabric in surgical style masks captures large droplets (see the previous posts by various miscers for articles and citations) and significantly lower the amount of droplets and aerosols released into the immediate vicinity and therefore lowing the transmission risk to OTHERS in that vicinity. Your position has no merit and you have no evidence on your side, no one cares about your feelings based argument

Who is wearing surgical masks outside of hospitals? They don't even fit snugly to the face. They may help against slobber, but if you're infected or you're near somebody who is infected, they are pumping out microscopic doses of Kung Flu every time you or they exhale. Those masks aren't stopping those. Not at all.

I wore one yesterday when i went to the grocery, most gas stations here sell surgical masks and a lot of people have those or cloth masks, both are comparable (hell the multilayered ones you see people making are much thicker and might actually capture more via more layers, not sure)... Like you know people arent making masks out of screen door fabric right... LMAO

Youve posted no evidence. The only source you have wouldn't even be acceptable in a high school level paper...

If you think a t-shirt draped over your mouth offers any real protection from spreading or contracting the virus, you are wrong. That's what the science actually shows. Just like the social distancing metric of 6' doesn't have scientific backing. It was actually created by a high school girl who did science fair project, but because her father worked at NASA (IIRC), he wrote it up as real science and submitted it to a journal on epidemiology (or somesuch).

A lot of what you think you know about the Kung Flu isn't actually true. That's a big problem. People are wearing these dumb masks and "social distancing" and still catching it. That's not a bad thing. It helps with herd immunity. But it's bad when it becomes a symbol of something else, such as compliance with unconstitutional edicts.

In California, homers can spread AIDS by not having to tell anyone they have it and that's protected by law. However, if you try to go into a grocery store to buy food without a mask, you can be arrested. The world is upside down. In fact, it's clownworld.
