I read earlier today that it would drop to 70% of whatever people made when last employed (up to a limit I'm sure). To make sure that no one is earning more from unemployment than they were when working.
Makes sense to me, and is more nuanced to actually meet the financial needs of the person...enough to cover living expenses but small enough to incentivize people to return to work.

I have meet countless people that have refused to go back to work befause they make more on unemployment. Washington gives them $750 a week plus the $600. So they are making $1300 a week to do nothing here so why go look for a job?

Been working in the office the whole time. Was recognized by HR as a hero for coming in to help, but in reality just not an old fat fuk.

Regardless, it will likely go through a few more negotiations. As usual, Dems want to tack on a bunch of extra **** and drag out the process.
