From a funny thread about africans making ****ty airplanes to a dick measuring contest between autists who think they know anything about aviation.

Ultimately, planes fly because they displace enough fluid downward that they can counteract their weight. That is it. And that is just a simple fact of nature. Air is a fluid. It's the same principle as how a boat floats in principle, just more complicated because of the nature of the fluid flow around the object, and how that is manipulated to create lift.

[QUOTE=wincel;1612529001]I said aircraft. You seem to enjoy strawmanning.
I am guessing you do not believe that the rotors are holding the entire weight of the helicopter up either do you. Got to be that anti-gravity paint they use. Stuffs good, real good.

air pressure under the wing becomes greater than above it, and it creates lift.

Still cant provide an example
I have given the most complete explanation of lift ITT by listing some of the many factors involved and explaining that one must solve the Navier Stokes equations for the fluid around the aircraft to get the pressures and determine the lift. The entire aircraft must be accounted for. It is not a trivial problem. It is not simply explained by Bernoulli's principle. You, and other low iq Dunning-Kruger types ITT, have demonstrated you know less about flight than the African you mock who is trying to build a plane.

With you're g i'l ider design, it take the equal and opposite reaction to the air molecules hitting the under surface to push the plane up. However this is flawed because it creates resistance to the craft. Air resistance isnt good because it will require more fuel and make the design inefficient, that's why you dont see a wingless design ever except with your gliders and that's why you cant show me an example of a wingless plane.
Again, provide an example of a wingless plane

Like I said that creates inefficiencies and unnecessary fuel consumption in design, that's why they design planes with wings. Now go ether yourself so the misc doesnt have to put up with you.

It's really sad when people are so dumb that they don't even know how dumb they are. Anyone can read the thread and see that Danny's explanation of flight is typical of a low iq B average engineer who doesn't actually understand physics. Read my explanations if you want to learn something, and click my NASA link to see why he is wrong. Out.
