Been saying this from day one. This is just like Rodney King in the 90s. He was following procedure. The PD has good lawyers and they'll demonstrate that he was following procedure. At most, it will be manslaughter. And then we'll have more riots. Get ready for it.

Judging by the fact that everyone is letting rioters do as they please I doubt he walks , they’ll lock him up to please the mobs.
Either way the guy is a scumbag and so are many other cops (not all) who have killed people of all colors before and get off with a paid vacation.
The guy had his knee on his neck with his throat against concrete, that could easily kill anyone specially for 8 minutes

-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

No way he'll be acquitted. I estimate the jury will be hung with 5 or more hold outs if the defense picks it right.
You'll see a follow up federal case where he'll plead guilty to a very watered down color of law charge which is what the should be aiming at, to begin with.

The fact that there was no trauma or bruising to Floyd's neck is going to be a doozy.

I don’t see how he gets acquitted personally but I’m no lawyer.
So what’s this about his family getting a second autopsy and saying it was caused by his knee? Is there any truth to that or is it one guys word against another in a case both may be biased?

Zero validity when it comes to court. The ME report was also factored in known "facts" instead of examining the body independently. Basically the ME report already says he died of a heart attack from drugs/heart disease and officers taking him into custody.
AN independent determination will be introduced by the defense that has nothing to do with officers and will be purely based on science, not opinion.

TFWfuarkin John Olivermakes a valid point about US police accountability
(Qualified Immunity, why you can never win suing a cop in civil court. start @ 21:30)
The thing is, in police forces and armies members around the world; you don't get held accountable most times (especially the higher you rank), you don't serve time; but you get reassigned, transferred, put on paid leave til the hype/heat dies down, or in worse cases discharged with no liability for crimes. It's a practice not unique to the US.

No one will stay on the job if passed. Supreme court upheld it time and time again. It's not going anywhere.
I know at least a dozen cops whe have lost suits and had to pay damages in both federal and state courts. Dont believe the hype, especially from a British twink who knows ****all about reality.
