Chicago rapper FBG Duck, 26, is shot dead in broad-daylight drive-by in neighborhood lined with designer boutiques as violence surges in the Windy City where murders are up 152 percent

-Rapper FBG Duck, 26, was fatally shot on Tuesday afternoon in downtown Chicago
-He was reportedly shopping with two others in the upscale Gold Coast area when he was attacked
-Police say two cars with gunmen pulled up and four gunmen opened fire on the trio
-FBG Duck, whose real name was Carlton D. Weekly, was dead on arrival at Northwestern Memorial
-Two others, a man and a woman, were injured and transported to a hospital in a serious condition
-Weekly was known to have feuds with other rappers affiliated with rival gangs
-Violence in Chicago has soared in recent weeks,with murders up 152% since last year

Why do rappers shoot each other so much?

You don't see this in K-pop, or country music.

I slightly agree with that.
A similar thing happened with Norwegian Black Metal.

They were starting to murder each other and random people.
They were also burning down a lot of churches.

I think the main factor is a culture of death.
During the dawn of hip hop. Grand Master Flash, Run DMC, KRS-1 etc you didn't have this.
Even 2 live crew...

Now hip hop is a culture that worships death and greed.
When most if not all of the music you hear from people like you is about killing each other and getting rich by either making it as a rapper or selling drugs this will happen.

Jamaican Gangs are rough but they mostly feed on each other. But you don't see Jamaican music worshiping death. They are far more under-privileged than anybody in any inner city in the USA
