Just think you *******s are going to go through life getting with multiple Women thinking she loves you when in reality she doesn't and only gives a chit about what you have to offer her and how you make her feel in the current moment. Then when she's bored she'll end up cheating on you like the cum dumpsters Women are and end up leaving you as no Woman is capable of love or loyalty. It's nice to have someone to come home to or someone who is waiting up on you.

I mean it has its downsides, cohabitating with another person means you have to make peace with little things like untidiness etc. Or having things moved in the house and not put back where they belong.

i usually go back and forth between wanting to just be a perpetual bachelor and wanting to get married and have a family, and i tend to think the fact that I am almost 30 and not in "must have family" mode 24/7 means I should just chill by myself with my pets and just let whatever happen happen. i'm kind of a dick anyways.

Yeah but what's the point when all Women are cheating sloots not capable of love or monogamy? Once the thrill ends she's cheating on her man and looking for another partner. I'd personally rather be alone than go through that chit with multiple Women during my life personally, what a waste of time.

As someone said on first page, once you’ve been in a relationship for a few years, the women most often get pressured not only by themselves but by their families. Because she is dedicating years of her life, often the best years, expecting the marriage ticket. At the same time, divorce law in this country is so ****ed and so many guys become beta willing to give so much to the ex wife. I know a guy who was like oh well I guess I’ll just give the whole house that’s in both of our names to my wife (Who cheated on him many times) so she can keep raising the kids. He’s been struggling and poor ever since. The judgments usually lean so far toward the wife. I know two guys who were ordered to pay close to 1m to their wives each. Guess what, both women were living with a new man within a year, wealthier, still collecting those payments because the law only renders them Invalid if she gets legally remarried. There’s a bit about if someone else pays her bills but it’s so easily avoided. That is why any sane man these days Needs to urge a prenup. There is zero chance my wife will be receiving any alimony payments other than child support. Zero chance she will touch my 401k, ira, or pension. Zero. ****ing. Chance. You want to have access to those things, stay loyal and keep me satisfied.

Reasons in no particular order:

- The feeling of deep love.
- Partner that will be with you through your whole (rest of your) life.
- Children.
- Having incredible experiences with an incredible person.
- Two household income.
- Having someone you care more for than words can express.
- Etc.

There are many reasons to settle down for me, to be honest. I couldn’t give a chit if people think it’s unrealistic or whatever to find someone you’re really in love with + loyal - i gotta try at least.

But it comes at the risk of heart break and/or financial loss.

As for the point of marriage, it's obviously for people who want kids. Kids thrive the most in a nuclear family with stable, married parents. This is very obviously the point of marriage whether common law or otherwise.
