Yea but you can't talk about that too much apparently. I made a thread stating how caffeine is poison, which to some extent it is to our body, and it eventually got taken down.

Watch out though brah. The daily coffeecels will come here soon to tell you off.

Coffee 2-3x a day crew.

Coffee reduces chances of various cancers, improves cholesterol, brain and kidney function, decreases chances of alzheimers/dementia, increases testosterone and reduces estrogen, prevents cirrhosis of the liver.....endless benefits to coffee.

If you're just downing caffeine pills or energy drinks, yeah, it's probably not so good. But good quality coffee? Come on guys.

Like someone else said it rewires your brain. And for me it hasn't been good. I need to quit asap.

In a perfect world I wouldn't consume caffiene. I like fizzy drinks and surely whatever health benefits from coffee too. Same predictable midday crash though nonetheless. I gotta get my caffiene problem straightened out.

I've been consuming caffeine for 9 years in any way you can think of. From abusing it, to taking routine breaks, etc.

It is horrible for you. It is horrible for your unrinary tract. It's horrible for your quality of sleep, horrible for your blood pressure, horrible for your heart, induces anxiety, heart palpitations, can reduce fertility in women, etc etc.

Don't forget coffee is a 200 billion dollar industry, and it's the second most traded commodity in the world behind only oil.

Of course they're going to say coffee is safe, raises your testosterone, and makes you healthy, while it is obviously having major effects on insomnia, anxiety, gastroinstetinal issues (lol for your ileocecal valve), and heart issue.

Keep clinging on to it. Caffeine at this point is your crutch. You depend on it for dopamine and happiness, to get through your day, and to not feel depressed and avoid headaches and withdrawal symptoms.

To each their own, I guess. Giving up 2+ pints of hard liquor a day (20+ drinks) is usually harder for people than giving up caffeine. Especially if they were doing it for years. Stimulants encompass more than caffeine however, and in that regard, OP is correct.

I haven't consumed any in a while. Feel amazing.

I've gone as high as 900mg a day, to a typical 400mg-600mg a day. I've done long stints at 200mg a day with pure organic extract from green coffee beans, and with coffee. I've done month long abstinence from caffeine and a small reintroduction phase back. It's an addiction. And for all the 1-2 cup coffee drinker saying it does nothing, then stop for a year. You won't. It isn't helping your brain function. It's your new normal. You now require stimulants to stay at your new base level of cognitive function. That's why when you stop, you feel like an absolute retard for a week.

There were always side effects no matter the dosage. Even at 1 cup of coffee a day. I tried it all. That's why I decided to quit recently, for the better.

ADHD meds are the worst, but caffeine is definitely not good either. But I still take preworkout for every workout...fml

Stop drinking it for 2 weeks then. See what happens.

I didn't have any issues with caffeine besides peeing a lot from ages 20 (when I started) until I was 26/27.

Green tea is cope. That's 35-50mg of caffeine. That does almost nothing, and is unnecessary at that point. No caffeine is where it is at. I feel normal again. Zero crashes, no highs, no issue at all with anything. I think much more clearly and deliberately. I am much calmer, yet feel stronger and more grounded.
