For real tho there was a gene test made on large groups of people living in Turkey. Showed something like 25% Anatolian. There are hardly any Turks living in Turkey. Original Turks look like Mongols. Tuvans, Tatars, Kazakhs etc are the real Turks.

Possible that most Turks have Balkan genes and equally possible that Balkanic people have Turkic genes as a result of around 500 years of living together.

I have a Turkish colleague at work. He could totally pass as native in a country like Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia etc ...
He showed me a picture of his brother. His brother would never pass as a native in the south of Europe. He is a ginger, white skinned (i.e. pale) and looks far too British to ever pass as a Southern European.
I met other Turkish people and some of them look "Turkish" and others look like they could fit somewhere in Europe. They never look semitic.

Well when Turks arrived to Anatolia (Turkey without Istanbul and beyond) the people who were there did not magically disappear.

Nowadays people move around a lot but for the locals that have been living in same city for 3 gens I can tell this:

Northwestern Turkey(Istanbul) : mix of Balkanic, Turkic.
Western&southern Turkey : mix of Greek, Turkic
Northern Turkey : Georgian, Greek, Turkic, Armenian
Eastern Turkey : Turkic, Kurdish, Armenian, Arab
Middle Turkey : Turkic mostly

Did not include the subraces. Turkic means Tatar, Turkoman, Oghuz, Ahiska and many more.

I for one have dark eyes and hair color but when I am in Europe I had lots of random Russian people approach me asking something in Russian. I learnt to say "Niet Paruski gavariti" lol finally.

My grandpas family came from Serbia in mid 1800s. So did lots of families who 'felt' Turkish when Ottoman Empire was collapsing. Hence the Balkan looks on western Turks.
