Non/ex-Christian here, so I have no reason to speak up for the sky fairy, but its becoming more and more apparent to a lot of people that this is happening.

Christianity has brought about:
- Move from matriarchy to patriarchy
- renaissance - This is a massive one.
- Better social order via nuclear family units, enforced virginity and monogamy
- language preservation and advancement
- Art
- Exploration via missionaries
- Cultural dominance via missionaries
- Casus belli to wage war and exterminate the natives elsewhere because they're devil worshippers
- Uniting culturally/religiously
- Critical thinking by trying to interpret a book made by hundreds of authors, half of whom are madmen.
- Future-looking, do good now so you enter heaven. Save more now so you can buy a house. Be industrious, so you enjoy later.

Without Christianity
- Move from patriarchy to feminism
- Infiltration by other religions, particularly buddhism, encourage LDAR
- Social order is fukked, if I need to elaborate, then you're fukked too. This is the biggest one.
- Submission to other cultures
- Laziness via belief in science rather than researching the bible.
- Guilt over dominance of other peoples/cultures
- Present/past-looking - Why bother about the future, since we're all headed for oblivion anyway?

Everyday, we move further away from the light of god.

I went from being agnostic to full on Christian a few years back on my journey to figure out life. So much didn't make sense in this world. I tried going the intellectual and philosophical route, but all that was just word salad bullchit at the end of the day.

The bible actually has answers. I kept away from it purposely because I didn't want to associate with religion because I viewed it as control and media always made all Christians seem like absolute imbeciles and insane.

Boy was I wrong though. Although I don't go to any churches by me because they are all in it for tax purposes and fly rainbow flags and have female pastors. But the bible is like an answer book for life.

It all makes sense now. srs.

Great post OP. It is extremely true.

"Move from matriarchy to patriarchy"

Weird. I was under the impression that Zeus, the God of Gods, was male. Just like Odin and the most prominent figures from various other pre-Christian religions.

I went through a phase where I read a lot of Friedrich Nietzsche, and this was essentially his (largely misunderstood) point from The Antichrist and his famous line: "God is dead."

So yes OP, a solid argument has been made for many years now that you're correct.

Most of the pagan religions has a female origin, gaia in the case of the Greeks, or heavy emphasis on females, with all the sibling-wives of the Egyptians and Norse. Even Japan has Amaterasu.

I'd be surprised if the bible has more than 5% female representation. Pretty much the biggest female figure was mary, and even then, its the catholics who made her big, as they integrated it with their pagan religions. Read the bible itself, and she disappears pretty almost much straight after the big man himself was born.

Personally I would edit that to "decline of religion." Christianity has been the dominant social order in the West for a very long time, but before that let's not pretend that the Roman Empire suffered for their lack of Christianity. Anyway, mostly agree

Laziness in researching the Bible?

I doubt many have actually READ the Bible...much less researched it. Certainly, in times past research into the Bible was not in general more than it is today.

In early days...nobody could even read.

For better or worse...today people are becoming less inclined to believe that the events described in the Bible are historical fact.

Unfortunately, we tend to throw out the baby with the bathwater and perhaps don't try to see the lessons of the gospels as metaphor and lose their value

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherent the Earth".

Meek is I believe a horse becoming tamed, meaning that if you come to control yourself and your emotions, and understand how to function in society in a wholesome way...life around you becomes a gift. The Kingdom of Heaven, which is at hand.

As opposed to struggling with vice, temptations, and intemperace.

The tenets present in christianity that promote strong societal and family values are not unique to the christian religion. With that said not all religions are created equally

Christianity teaches solid principles, not the least of which being the logic they learned from the greeks.

Obviously you dont have to believe in Yahweh to learn these things but christianity has been how they were taught for a long time, and people are throwing out the baby with the bath water when they realize the sky wizard isnt real only to replace it with a level of subjectivity that goes full retard, marxism, etc

not really, modern Christianity is a Trojan horse to allow subvertors to easily manipulate easily fooled Christians into supporting things that will destroy America.

Evangelicals are pretty much the only sect immune to the subversion and look who they mindlessly support. It's not a winning proposition

Buddhism played a big part in the LDAR attitude in China's 400 years of humiliation, accept your karma, and pray you reincarnate as a white man in your next life. Big part of why China resurged so hard when the CCP banned religion. I don't think China will do well with Christianity BTW, too passive, too forgiving, good example of Christian China is Taiwan, which is a lame duck.

Mesoamerican sacrifice rituals took such a toll on their society that it couldn't advance further without its removal.

I will get flamed by people for this, but look at Islam, to aggressive, too warlike, for the cultures that has accepted it. You say the west is chit without morals, but Islam is a religion that has taken it to the next extreme. I actually feel China will do much better under Islam, as the people there are too passive, while the middle eastern people would do much better with buddhism.

Don't think the druids in west europe would have led it to dominance in the modern world.

For the western world at least, Christianity is the perfect blend of aggression, restraint, and social mores.

Basically any prominent person from ancient Greece - Socrates, Aristotle, and so on, is male. Are you arguing that there were prominent females who we just don't hear about nowadays?

Patriarchy was not established by religion. It's human instinct. Any talk of matriarchy having existed is usually from progressive anthropologists and the like who believe in that nurture over nature nonsense.

This is a great example of why the west gained dominance - You have cultural missionaries willing to die, so that barbaric natives worships a blond hair, blue eyed guy on the cross (I know he wasn't - he was an arab, but that's what made the west so powerful, they made their god look like them), not only that, but so that the natives would use a fork and spoon instead of barbaric 2 pieces of sticks, put on a powdered wig, even when baldness is a white issue, wear western suits, learn english, so they can study the bible, adapt western, blibical-based laws, instead of their barbaric native law, take on "christian" (western) names, etc.

A phenomenon that is similar, but far less powerful is kpop. You get blond hair, blue eyed girls learning Korean, eating rotten cabbage with 2 pieces of sticks, and worshipping a black hair, black eyed man.

Everyone complains that no one celebrates white culture, but white culture is worshipped everyday by everyone. Just look at the courts of law of any nation, its the same fukking powdered wigs white guys use when the norwood reaper goes after them. Everyone knows George Washington. Everyone wears western-style suits. There' maccas everywhere. Most things in most places are a celebration of white cultural dominance thanks to Christianity.

Christian brah here. I agree that the west is declining because of a lack of Christian values, but there are those who would just call them values. And understandably so. They would argue you don’t have to have a god to have those values. And once again, I would agree. I would say, though, that those values do come from God and that our conscience, which is our moral barometer, is in tune with those values and that it’s Him trying to draw you closer to Him without forcing you. We don’t commit murder because God doesn’t want us to. We don’t commit murder because murder is wrong. However, I believe God is the final arbiter of that right and wrong and wants us all to know Him.

You need a god to have those values - Its too hard to enforce and protect otherwise. That's why the west is slipping into decadence, too much effort to maintain monogamy and traditional family values without someone/thing to fear.

Neither is morality completely christian. Some of it is, like not killing, then you get to the fringe like stoning homosexuals.

Paul is actually a genius, he completely overthrew the judeaic portion of the religion, and made everything vague. Is eating pork bad? Who knows, that other guy got a vision, saying its fine, but maybe its an allegory for something else? Is being uncircumcised bad? We shouldn't burden non-jews with our customs. You don't get a straight answer, instead, everything is vague. Contrast with the OT, where it explicitly says you must stone homosexuals.

True, because the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament is the same as the difference between law (Old Testament) and Grace (Jesus’ shed blood for all in the New Testament).

Bro, its just a fukking cup made holy by bored monks in the middle ages.

Before western civilisation, no one gave a flying fuk what jesus drank out of.

Its like the spear of longinus. It was just a random roman soldier assigned the fatigue duty of killing tortured prisoners. No one knew his name, and his spear was probably some ratty as sharpened stick. Suddenly, bored monks, and boom, he has a name, and his spear is not ultra-holy, made from the tears on angels.

It was wine, because fementing grapes into wine is one of the only ways you could get hydration without dysentery 2000 years ago. If there was clean water, they'd be drinking that.

Like actually read the bible and understand the historical context before believing these random chit on the internet.

Without bothering to address most of the points on this list, will just take one example:
Laziness via belief in science rather than researching the bible.
What does this even mean...

Seems like simply believing the Genesis creation account, to take one instance, requires less effort than becoming well-versed in natural history and understanding the earth’s and mankind’s real origins. (Not to mention one will be wrong on many points concerning the world and history if he is just researching the Bible for his info).

Thankfully we’ve had modern science guide us to a better picture of the world and its history, and it has led to various technologies as well- centuries ago it was realized that the best way to understand how the universe works is to start by simply observing it, not by reading ancient texts and going by dogma. And so here we are today.

The phrase “belief in science” is somewhat obscure. The findings of science are generally backed by evidence. Most people don’t “believe in gravity”, “believe that Saturn is farther from the sun than Earth”, “believe MRI machines work”, or “believe that antibiotics work”...this is odd terminology. ...we have plenty of evidence that gravity exists, that Saturn is farther from Sol than Earth is, and that MRIs and antibiotics work.
