I’m pretty neutral concerning conspiracy theories, I’m not convinced they are true or false. I think conspiracy theories can be a good thing, because it makes people more aware of what might be going on in the world.

The main conspiracy theory I’ve heard many times about the Mr. Olympia is that it’s politics that determine the winner, and not overall quality of the physique. People are still talking about the 1980 Olympia win when Arnold took first place.

Do you know of any other conspiracy theories involving the Mr. Olympia contest? Or can you elaborate on the theory I’ve mentioned?

I heard this conspiracy theory that there are people who think current Mr. Olympias actually looks good, but I don't believe it.

That's really about it. Some judges are close to the competitors, some are paid off by companies if they place the company sponsored athlete high.



You want to see some craziness? Look up what a lot of bikini/figure competitors do or go through to be relevant.

your duty as a judge is to have a face that you want to represent the sport

do you want some degenerate wannabe philosopher who put his d*ck in a grape fruit on the internet to win and be the representation of bodybuilding
or
some hard working respectable guy that is juggling the regiment of bodybuilding while putting long hours daily as a police officer

in the end you want to put someone out there that will bring respect to the sport and bring it money

Arnold appears to have the best ratio of aesthetics, proportions, and size from that photo. He's basically a mix of Frank Zane's conditioning and Lou Ferrigno's size. Why tf wouldn't he win?

Those judges called it 100%.

I mean...it's literally a pageant. There aren't really quantifiable or statistical reasons why one physique is better than the others. It's all based on feel. Easily corruptible.

That's fukked. Jay Cutler is one of the greats but it's clear Martinez never broke through in his prime due to that. It should have been an on going battle.

I worked at a gym that was owned by an ifbb pro judge. And the gym also produced more pro bodybuilders (if you don’t count ****gy bikini and physique divisions) than any other gym

You’d be astounded at the amount of corruption and politics that go into plastic trophies

I have like 1000 stories about how greedy and gay the ifbb judges are

If you've been following bodybuilding and the Olympia for a long enough time you can tell its rigged and corrupted. It's all about politics and who the poster boy should be for the sport after the old poster boy is worn out and no longer has a pleasing physique via IFBB standards. Its all bullchit and I stopped following it years ago.

I follow powerlifting and have been since 2008 after I realized that bodybuilding is nothing but *******s on stage all oiled up wearing a banana hammock and the audience and judges are getting off on it. A lot of G4P...

I went to exactly 1 show and it was FULL of homos playing pocket pool srs. Then after it was over, all the sugar daddies were mingling with their juiced up fukk boi bb'ers. Never again.

G4p and jerking off in front of homos got so big because the aids patients (gay dudes) got tons of growth for free in the 90s, way more than they ever would need or want. And the bodybuilders had a huge desire for it....and well the rest is history lol
