The middle class is, and has, been consistently fukked. Wages have stagnated. We have lost power as employees. The market is slowly pricing us out, but we want to fight each other about "pulling yourself up by your boot straps."
Sure, now more than ever, you have access to tools that can help you escape the rat race. You don't want to be an employee. You shouldn't want that anymore, that's what the market is telling you.
It used to be that you could make a very good living in the rat race, but college prices are rising rapidly, and many entry level jobs ask for a 4 year degree but only pay $40,000. Housing prices have increased. Rent is up across the board. Household goods have increased in price.Companies are taking in more profit than ever before, but relaying LESS profit to employees as wage increases, if at all.
Chit, I literally am moving to TX because I'm done with spending way too much money and getting too little in return. Plus, I am tired of the way my tax funds are directed by the state and would prefer more of them to be in my pocket... And not the government, because if they are good at anything, it's mismanaging funds.
I digress, though. The market has essentially told you "Get fukt, pleb."
And you've eaten the chit.
What we need is more power in the hands of the middle class, which is, by far... The largest group in America.
