Why are jews so intelligent? (srs)

For only having at most a population of 18 million, they:

1. Excel in academia
2. Are overrepresented in pretty much everything, from scientists to corporate leaders
3. 20% of nobel prize winners are jewish

It can't be genetics, so what is it?

They had to be with all the pogroms over the years.

Also, Jewish parents tend to have high expectations for their kids when it comes to academics. At my state school, if you were an academic high flyer, you’d be insulted. People would call you a nerd or whatever. “Doing homework is for batty boys innit bruv.” Then when I’d be among other Jews at schul on the weekends, it’s the opposite. If you’re not doing well academically, you’d be called a retard or whatever.

This is why Jews are over-represented in fields where academic success is important for entry. It’s not our fault so many other people never gave a chit about their educations and then start blaming us when their lives inevitably go down in flames, lol.

For thousands of years jews have always made sure their children were literate. You really had no choice, you had to go to the synagogue and read the torah, you had to know how to read. Literacy was very high at times when the majority of people were illiterate.

Natural selection over a 1000 year period. Talmud scholars had more children who made it to adulthood. Basically german Jews were only involved in non physical occupations. Selected for intellectuals.

Absolutely. The Jews at schul weren’t being good people when they were ragging on those who didn’t do well in school. Just saying that it’s no surprise that people who grow up in that environment are well-represented in certain fields. There’s no conspiracy to it.

Always were a minority where ever they went back in the day, also they were very different compared to other non jews. They spoke their own language, and dressed differently.

I think that the fact that many were very successful also didn't help

Right. Imagine a world with no plumbers. We'd all be smelling chit 24/7 and dying young with disease.

Society in general has a certain perspective though. The perception is that professions which make lots of money and which it's top dogs are well-known to the public (like scientists, movie directors etc) is the pinnacle of success. Like you say, that's not necessarily the case. However, people being in those positions gives people the impression they "control things".

Entry to these careers usually require academic success. Note: not intelligence, necessarily, but academic success. This is what Jewish families and communities push their kids into. It all leads to the perception that Jews are running the show and using their power to keep everyone else out. I'm just saying this isn't the case.

Note: this does not apply to haredi Jews (the extreme orthodox ones who always wear the tassels and chit all the time) as they essentially reject modern society overall and often don't even work and almost never attend university etc.
