I have before. I was with a girl for 5 years, it was a great time for the first 2 years, but it just went downhill. I've been at the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Being with a female is never stable forever. I think anybody that gets into a relationship should have that awareness and just enjoy it while it is good.

I dunno man, ask anyone who's had it all fall apart or get burned in a divorce.

If my relationship ever ended, I'd never attach myself to anyone again. It's too much of an investment-time, money, and most of all emotionally. I'm an old brah, so things might be different for the 20 somethings. Being over 30, making money, already have kids? Almost no reason to risk it all again.

Imagine living with the woman youve known for 3 years now, she gives you random **** about you eating all the cereal and how you never do anything for her, etc. You know she is somewhat right, but deep inside you are kind of tired of all that ****.

You go to the grocery store and decide to go to starbucks before buying the cereal. The barista there is a 19 year old brunette with blue eyes, she smiles at you, you smile back and she makes some random small talk about how she always orders the same **** you ordered and that you have good taste.

She turns around to do whatever barista random bull**** and you notice that not only does she have a very beautiful face, her waist to hips/ass ratio is also very good. Shes perfect, and suddenly a feeling or infatuation starts invading your body. She puts her number on your coffee and she with a smile on her face just says "well just in case you wanted it" and laughs nervously.

You get back home, and your girlfriend is there with a clearly annoyed face because it took you so long. She says "No Captain Crunch? You know thats my favorite, let me guess they didnt have any"... so you just ignore that and go upstairs.

You add the barista to your contacts. Maybe you will need it sometime. At this very moment, your girlfriend gets a message from Chad, he replied to one of her stories with "Damn Lucky Charms is also my favorite hahaha"

Being in love and the vulnerability(pain. highs & lows) that comes with it derails me HARD. I'd rather find content in my career goals and then search for these things.

Been in plenty of great relationships with great women but I would never want to go back to those. They always end for a reason. You should seek long term happiness, which generally people think is a relationship, but that doesn't mean you hang onto relationships just because you fear being alone.

Though I do belive people need each other, men bring stability and safety and women bring love and caring/tenderness things a man needs as you see how long term single men go, just hard and creepy and lonely.

Still, it's a giant waste of time, money, and emotion to just start over again. If it was peaceful, that hole is still there. Would you want to go through the trouble of filling it again knowing the risk and the mistake you made before? For young dudes, it's normal course of action to rotate the honeys, the older you get the more of a risk it is, the harder it hurts, and the harder it is to come back from. If you're talking a kid, you're right-probably a giant pussy. If anyone in their thirties that's already got what they need out of the way and can focus on their own wealth and growth-why mess around and keep something around that can take half of it all away?
