So youre saying OP that even if we shut down the global economy that some deaths not in the 99.7% who survive without any treatment, some not in the 65% of deaths of those over 85, some not in the 2/100,000 cases of children that have to go to the ICU are still not being prevented?

Then why are we even shutting down the global economy if we still didnt save this guy. Its almost as if some people will die early and no amount of economic sabotage can prevent it.

What would it have taken to have saved his life? shutting down football? Who is to say he wouldnt have gotten covid from other means and still died? Would it take everyone in full hazmat suits on SCBA tanks to go outside? What if he got it on a package in the mail then what?

Maybe everyone should stay in doors until Summer 2021 and the cities can just add sugar and protein mixes to the water supply and everyone can just drink watered down protein mixes from their faucet and never leave their house for 1 year.

His football season was cancelled back in July, and his college went online classes only in August.

This had nothing to do with football.

It is unclear how he contracted the disease.

Stephens played in 32 games for California University in his first three seasons.The school was not playing football this fall with COVID-19 health concerns forcing sports to be halted by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
So he wasn't a football player, and football had nothing to do with how he contracted the disease.

I'm saying that having College Football players that are TRAINED TO BE OBESE... it's not a good idea to have them disobey the two easy rules of Covid prevention: (1) wear a mask, and (2) social distance. They are unable to do either while playing.

If you are going to disobey both rules, then you better NOT be in the high risk group. That's elderly and those with comorbidities.

ALSO, this is just the beginning of problems for College Football and Covid. Once the schools that decided to play take the field, you're going to see a high spread rate and lots of problems for these obese linemen. It should be noted (but I had thought it was obvious to you idiots), that this kid didn't get Covid from playing football.

But this is a prediction thread of what's to come. Don't unnecessarily pressure people to expose their comorbidities to Covid. Football Linemen (both college and pro) all have comorbidities.
