It's a myth that Kipchoge could easily win events like Badwater or whatever if he could be bothered. Not saying Kipchoge isn't greatest athlete ever, but there have been a number of high profile attempts by elite "real" runners to take on some of the famous endurance events and they have all failed. It's a different thing.

On the other hand Goggin doesn't even place that high in ultra events does he? He's just famous for doing that as well as a bunch of other stuff and doing a lot of self promotion.

Also Kipchoge's day would be even more extreme and monotonous.

Again, it's abnormal, not unhealthy. Unhealthy is a value judgement from your particular set of values. As for as we know, he hangs out with people everyday, but rarely uses his phone. His fiancee actually is his manager by that way. She's there to deal with the fallout. Im sure the people who he needs in his life are there. He's at peace as the blog post says.

You have every right to make your judgement, but it's not useful or fair because you're not him, and you're not living his life. You don't have all the facts. You're judging him on 5 paragraph blog posts and 2 minute sound bites.

Also 10 miles a day is nothing for the running world. On the letsrun.com forums (the running version of Misc) that would be called a "low volume" approach. And he would be called a "hobby jogger".

Finally, I used to do around 70 miles per week during the peak of my running as an absolute middle of the field nobody (though in some long and wild events). But that was always done with no drama and finished by 7am as part of a 100% normal work and family life.

He also runs 205 mile runs in the desert.

I guess that's hobby running on that forum too.

Makes me think of miscers all saying they are ceo 10k/day 8x6. "Lol only 10 miles a day? that's my tuesday warmup. I easily run 200 miles a week every week and barely break a sweat."

Dude obviously has issues but is motivational as ****. Was a out of shape nobody like some people on here and achieved everything is put his mind to with extreme dedication.
People in his position before we went crazy would never even have a 2 second thought of achieving everything he did.

I didn't even reply to you, yet you quoted one sentence with in a larger post of mine responding to a miscer saying he should do something with his life.

I responded with a basic list of his accomplishments, and you took offense for saying you'd be retarded to think he hasn't done anything. Literally wasn't even talking to you.

So yes, it seems that you are the pissy one here being hung up on pointing out his accomplishments.

You can continue to talk about his mental illness and how horrible his life is from the female perspective.
