I really hope this game succeeds.

This will either be another No Man's Sky disaster release with broken promises and a total fiasco of a game or a master piece that will be hailed for the entire decade like Skyrim was in 2011.

So far the developers look like they know what they are doing and the content released looks amazing. I really think this could be a success and a good game to kick off the next gen consoles.

Definitely going corpo first, tired of the underdog/started from the bottom bull**** storylines on every games. It will be nice to start as part of the system.

Skyrim was great but very broken on release and even still; fan mods fixed it more than Bethesda ever did.

I am willing to bet CDPR will release a fine game though, and well done; but having seens some things cut is a bit disheartening. I'd rather they cut it once they know it wont work than waste time trying to implement it though.

Some of the features cut like wall running and the spiderbot as permanent comanion seemed like balancing nightmares so I'm not sad about them being cut. On the other hand, more straight forward things like car customization and metro stations seem more like time-constrained cuts. That said, CDPR promised free DLC's like in Witcher 3 so some of the cut content may make its way back in post-release.

They also cut the car customization part? I'm sad... even if it was minimal like for example mad max it would have been awesome

I really wouldn't get too caught up in things they cut out. They've promised free DLC's so there's no telling what will be added back in later. Plus I doubt anything they removed will be anything missed with the scale of this game...

This game is the sole reason I came back to PC gaming from console.
I just couldn't enjoy a game this damn sexy without playing it with PC quality graphics and RTX on. 34" 3440X1440 resolution is going to be HNGGGGGG as fk.

Possibly. The Witcher 3 added gear customization and an extra home with a bunch of customization options in the DLCs so CDPR certainly has the capacity to do something similar, just not a dev priority at release. I don't think we'll get subway fast travel as the signpost system from TW3 is being replicated with city maps, but it's possible we could take transportation to whenever the new DLC locations are - TW3 DLC's expanded the base map, then added a completely new region. And CDPR stated the CP2077 DLC's would have more content than that.

CDPR said that next gen upgrades will come next year, for ps5/series x ...... Does that mean PS5/Series x will only get the ps5/xb1 version of Cyberpunk running at higher res and just more stable framerates? so we're just getting base versions of the game?

I'm worried that the game is slowly turning into some woke SJW chit. I was originally gonna get the game until I saw more of them game development videos.

Then there was that time they changed the genre from RPG to open world action adventure or whatever. I don't want them to go Fallout 4 and take the RP out of my G.

I mean it's a cyberpunk game, the genre is literally about megacorporations turning the world into a high-tech low-life dystopia. It's inherently political.

CDPR is all about RPG so you don't have to worry about that.

You should have a read of some cyberpunk classics. It's a mainstay of the genre that mega corporations control the world and society is kind of one large post-truth movement. It's kind of the point that traditional values erode and technology fuels a hedonistic excess.


I'm pumped. There is one type of game I've wanted for years and that is a cyberpunk version of GTA. Looks like it's arrived.

Some demo footage from a Japanese showcase - mostly existing footage, but they also show the briefing for "The Gig" as well as extending the Braindance bit to show Evelynn Parker. You can definitively see how the graphics got an upgrade since 2018... CDPR working hard to not be downgrading ****s like most AAA devs.
