I impulse bought a vortex strikefire ii rds and it's the biggest pos. It's going back immediately. I wouldn't deal with this on an airsoft gun.

The "dot" is an asymmetrical blob with random branches.

I just wanted a trijicon mro. No one has a trijicon mro.

sure you don't have astigmatism? because that's what a red dot will look like if you do.
edit: take a picture of the red dot with your camera, if you're unsure.

I've had these on all of my Glocks, on my Glock 21 for going on 10 years now and still bright as new, great for the value; they have different colors if yo don't like green/green.

I had a strike fire II and i liked it. I liked the 30mm tube vs the micro red dots. Wasn’t amazing but worked just fine. Sounds like your eyes are fuked up breh.

Eventually I upgraded but it served me well.

Battery life of piss though.

I love my Holosun personally, great optic, 50,000 hour battery life and uses solar during the day to save battery. Some argue holographic is better than the dot, but I never noticed much difference.

Battery life is the weakness but takes .1 seconds to turn it on I don’t really see the big deal.

Also you could leave it on at night takes 8 hours to turn off.

I was watching a YouTube video and it was suggested to leave the front sight flipped up
in case you couldn’t hit the button in time and the optic window would be used as a giant ghost ring I guess.

Looking through the test data:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/10...61679%E2%80%A6

It looks like every test with a standard 17 grain simulated fragmentation projectile incurred at least a partial perforation of the helmet. There's complete penetration about 60% of the time.

I'm not a ballistics helmet expert but I'm not sure I really like those odds. 17g is small even if 2200 fps is "rifle" fast.

Hopefully there are better helmets out there?

I have an astigmatism and get the ame thing with red dots. Honestly, you kind of figure out what part of the "blob" you need to pay attention to and it's usually not a big deal. I'm pretty used to it with my MRO and I can tune right in.

Same with my Vortex and Aimpoint Pro. You'll figure it out. If it drives you totally nuts, you can look into something with more of a reticle like an Eotech, a Holosun or I think Vortex has one (Spitfire??).

Does 9MM target ammo vs home defense ammo really matter?

Didn't realize last time I went to my FFL they sold me target ammo. One box for $30.

Today I went to do the 4347 form (or whatever it's called) and I bought home defense ammo, seemed expensive @ $47 for a box.

Going to pick up one more box when I go to pick up my MP9 this Friday. Should I get target or home defense ammo?
