Update: Escaped poverty and on my way to making 6 figures

This one is the craziest by far though

Then her getting arrested after hitting mike:

I am the guy getting assaulted in this video

There was alot more but here is what got her sent to jail just now for the 2nd time this month. 5 total people have been assaulted

Amy arrested AGAIN after assaulting Brent (Me)

Cliff notes:

1. Landlord AND tenants are violent and are drugs/sever mental issues

2. Landlord went to jail last week after beating a tenant and just she got out of jail on nov 10th and went back to beating tenants and on nov 14th went back for a 3rd round of wwe smackdown on the tenants and get arrested and went to jail again on Nov 14th.

Landlord is bipolar paranoid schizophrenic that doesn't take her meds and gets extremely violent with weapons and assaults us with weapons before we get video evidence.

Got any friends? Is there any period you know she'll be gone for a few hours at at time?

Take all your **** to storage, crash at friends until you can find a new place.

Do it today. Call off work.

We called the police but when they showed up they couldnt do anything without witnesses or video evidence.

She's holding my rent money hostage and I paid under the table so I'm screwed.

There are no mens domestic violence shelters that I know of in Hollywood, California

I've been up all might hearing her scream and tear up the house and I have to work all day so this is a living hell.
Do you have any savings to move out elsewhere or stay at temp accommodation until you find something else. If there is no contract or transactions on bank account, you can just move out.

I had something similar. All this month’s notice stuff goes out the window if your place is unsafe to stay at. The only issue is the money you may lose as they are very unlikely to give you any rent back or if you have deposit you probably won’t see that money again. But it’s still worth it. My work offered me a hotel to stay at, my colleagues offered a spare room, some landlords offered a flexible deposit option etc. There is help. You just have to get out of your current place and accept the sad truth that it will cost you some money. At least you won’t move out of the property in a body bag

That doesnt solve me getting zero sleep due to her breaking into my room and screaming, ripping the windows off so its freezing in the room, turning the gas off so we cant cook, no hot water. This is torture and I'm extremely sleep deprived

Its not a self defense issue, its the extreme lack sleep from the nonstop chaos at all times of night screaming at the top of her lungs, messing with our belongings. the 16 other people living in this illegal housing situation because alot of us lost good jobs due to covid

I'm making minimum wage to get by but I moved here for a six figure job opportunity with the electrical union as an overhead lineman but I have to get my CDL first which is a process considering I need to order a new social security card and $1,000 for the express training and then CDL test

That sounds like a fuking nightmare dude srs

Hope you can resolve the situation. If it were me I'd probably just walk outta there and figure out the consequences later, nothing more enraging than someone stopping you from sleeping

You have so many alternative options it’s unreal. I can think of countless potential solutions

You live in Hollywood. It’s not freezing outside, it barely gets down to 50 at night, lmao. What you should do, is make more threads about being a whining ******* that gets beat by girls.

I understand your point as I did consider getting a tent but I have many important documents for my job and my clothes for work will all get stolen.

When you say many options, what is other options for someone with very little money at the moment and needs their belongings secure for work?

Can you not report the landlord for such illegal housing.

Bit chit for others who live there but there definitely is no fire safety nor insurance to have so many lodgers/tenants

If OP does this he should keep an incident log so he doesn't get sued.

What happened at your place anyway?

OP, you mention you're short of money at the minute so you can't just up and leave but you also mention work clothes, implying you're not working from home. Can you not maybe live at work until pay day? Where do people with no money live in LA besides tents? Where do random illegal Mexicans/Hondurans live?

In most cases unless there is clear proof like videos, OP won’t win.

Me and my other female flatmate were physically assaulted by male flatmate. We both had physical injuries with strangulation marks on my neck, doughnut-like hole in my shin and she had bruised face. We also had another male flatmate who was the one calling the police and was also a witness. Attacker also stole my phone but then put it in the kitchen when he heard the police approaching lol.

The attacker said we attacked him despite him not having any injuries. He was arrested and released without charge with the reason being not enough evidence.

Truth is, law won’t be on his side. Especially if he is willingly living in an illegal housing. Best option is leaving asap.

Fire dept and police been at the house every single day since I got here. They are trying to shut it down but california has strict Covid-19 housing regulations.
