I’ll start out first. Used to work as a gas station attendant. I worked a lot of early shifts so you can imagine my fate with Monster Energy drinks was sealed. This was back before we had Ultra Zero White. Before I knew lotto scratchers were a thing in my daily life as were Igloo coolers and general laziness.
Thankfully I found a different career path and didn’t follow down this path that leads invariably to domestic abuse and sore lower backs. I still enjoy Monsters but not as much as I used too.

How is it not a trade? It’s no different than plumbing or drying cars at the car wash.

Thank you OP for sharing your journey from skilled tradesmen to white collar life. You are an inspiration to tradies everywhere. I can only hope there is some Lyft driver, mailman, or baker out there reading this. 😌

For all the intellectual superiority they think they have over tradies... They cannot even grasp simple concepts that toddlers could.

For example, what is, or isn't, a tradie.
Don’t talk about the skilled labor outside of Home Depot like that.

#blessed. I was 2-3 7/11 runs from buying a one gallon Coleman water jug and a carton of Marlboro reds to wash down my daily Carl’s Jr. number 1

I’m glad you were able to curb your energy drink addiction (aka you were able to learn) before you went too far down the rabbit hole. In an alternate universe you could be on your third wife by now. 😔

Step 1: admit you fuked up after graduating high school (or not graduating)
Step 2: Switch from Monster to water
Step 3: Empty your gallon jug Coleman cooler of all the Ultra Zero in it
Step 4: stop drinking Keystone Light
Step 5: stop beating your wife after drinking excessive amounts of said keystone light on the drive home
Step 6: commit to buying a decent truck instead of leasing the Tradesman trim
Step 7: Del Taco is not an acceptable daily lunch
Step 8: pack a healthy lunch in that igloo and don’t fill it up with that Natty light sixer
Step 9: go back to school
Step 10: put out that Marlboro red while in class
Step 11: stop buying scratchers every time you fill up said leased truck

I bet you would miss the nail if you tried, hit your finger nail instead. Good thing you’re not a tradie, wouldn’t want you breaking a nail.

Thinks are looking up for me. What sucks is I only worked as a tradie for 1 day before I got fired and injured for life.

My officel life supplies me with a good atmosphere and I have a comfortable wheel chair.

P.S. Rehab for caffeine, smokes, and Mcdonalds addiction was expensive, but finally getting it paid off.

When I was a young lad of 15 in 1987, I went to work for my friend's dad, who built houses, and had to deal with all the tradies. All we did was clean up the lots and get rid of all the trash, but it was honest work.

The tradies building the homes were all dirty and grumpy and smelly and would pee in a bottle and leave it for us to clean up and cigarette butts everywhere.

One time, they did a lousy job, so my friend's Dad didn't pay them until they fixed it, so instead, they went back to the house in the middle of the night and tore it all up and clogged the drains upstairs and ran all the water, so there was water damage everywhere. That was the type of people those tradies were.

I'm glad I went on to College.

Right...... So instead of being cucked by a business owner , you’re cucked 80 hours a week by your business.

B-b-but Running a business is no more stressful or time consuming than working for someone else because all the ceo 10/k a day Miscers say so

It must be true
