Lmao I'm living the life of a retiree at 28 these days.

Left military, worked couple odd summer jobs, began an education was supposed to move to Istanbul to attend classes but now they are online (5 times a day), school does not allow us to work so I moved back to parents.

Here's the stuff I do daily/ weekly:

-Long walks on the beach
-Reading books/ newspapers in quiet parks
-Collect the beer bottles I drank that week and shoot them in the countryside
-Hiking
-Online classes
-Studying
-Playing games on PC/ rotting
-Would go to brothels too but they are all closed since March

Weren't you talking about becoming an airline pilot? How's that looking now with Covid and the inevitable restructuring of the industry?

I wasn’t at risk of redundancy as I had a good record. I was on furlough from april until august. Worked in august, september and october and back on furlough from november

Nice, good for you. I'm guessing you're with a major carrier then? Do you think a lot of airline positions will simply disappear? Been reading about how this will permanently restructure the industry since, among other reasons, telecommuting has proven to be efficient and will eventually replace a lot of business travel. How long do you plan on staying in the industry?

I am staying a couple of years if I can but plan to study in the meantime so when I leave I have a better job to go to. I like the industry and the job (most of the time) but I have burst my eardrum twice now so it’s only matter of time when my hearing will become more important than flying.

We just had to accept 2 year payfreeze which is another hurdle for sure knowing the prices will go up to make up for the money that went on furloughs.

I think we cater to a lot of holiday makers so losing some business travellers won’t make too much of a difference to us. The money saving tricks the airline is thinking about are concerning though and seeing our board members jump ships.
