One of my former colleagues now makes 100K to be a "associate director of social media content & strategy"

WTF is this world coming to?

This was one of her resume highlights on LinkedIn:

"produced 3,000 GIFs, 1,000 Boomerangs, 3,200 ******** Live views and 500,000 Instagram likes."

In 4 years she went from intern to associate director...meaning she went from making minimum wage with our company to making six figures.

I know a lot of women who are borderline retarded and don't deserve their job.

There was an audit of my company and they found men were earning higher at a certain level, and they completely ignored all their managers were women. They said it was sexism, even though the women were the one causing it. ****ing retards.

Social media has grown to become one of a company's biggest reach to direct customers. Women are also much bigger consumers than men. It makes sense a woman who probably spends the majority of her time on social media would be hired to market directly to other woman.

Nice theory. Except they don’t usually do any marketing. Drafting comms and tweets doesn’t take brains, more just ‘don’t fk it up’.

Real marketing is usually done by actual MBAs and Marketing/Branding specialists not social media bunnyes

and JFL at thinking women are better. The golden era of advertising and marketing was when the work place male dominated.

Funny how they legally discriminate but it's ok as long as the make-up is balanced lol. Meanwhile people used to mainly hire those best qualified to make them more money.

Only at upper management or high tier positions does social politics play a role and sure if you have a similar background to someone it would help, but who cares that's normal.

The fact there are laws forcing business to meet a gender quota is so contradictory to any movement it's unbelievable. But if a change = positive undeserved outcome then it's magically fine.

No-one wants to accept that their demographic just statistically doesn't do well in X field. Funny how there's no push for equal outcome for all the sh*t jobs yeah? "Oh no, you can keep those however you want, just change the good ones!".
