I read through the post you linked and see absolutely zero issue. Being a car guy myself, seemed Nosirrahx was just contributing to the passion for cars with some perspective and some cool pics.

He's also a poster on this forum who legit has "made it" in terms of misc success standards and his contributions seem valuable to this place.

Trouble is he doesn’t stick to the car forum. He hijacks threads every day lauding himself. I’ll post examples later if you insist. It’s borderline mental illness at this point. See this as an intervention to help him.

I have 3 or 4 real life friends who are legitimately ‘big deals’. I stake my reputation on them never having posted a single word on a message board to anyone about their success.

I understand what you are saying and different people have different ways of getting their "story" out. Perhaps he is on here to get perspective on becoming healthier (I have seen him on a few threads back in the days engaging in those discussions and if i were a betting man, he probably used that data to his benefit) and also give back to people that want to be successful. For me, its much easier doing something when I can speak to someone before me who has already done it before. We need people on here giving perspective and talking about their successes. That will hopefully inspire others to know its possible no?

Ok point taken. Seems in the thread you posted the guy you are talking about in this thread joined in to share pics of relevant interest in the thread. I didnt take it as him coming across as being better than anyone else in that thread? And even if he has in other threads, Im completely open to hearing perspective from someone who has made it in the software security world at a rather grand scale. No shame in being proud of your work and sharing as far as im concerned.

Success is 99% luck in being in the right time at the right place. I’ve barely ever mentioned the two or three things I’ve been successful at because of that. People have lost businesses going back generations this year, just pure dumb luck.

i like to hear about the success of others - especially if they are richer and more successful than me. or spend more than me. i like to see their toys. i like to know how they did it and how they plan on spending it and making more. you know why? because i'm not a jealous f**k. and maybe i can learn something new.
