Yes, this is just bad news.

Police are a good and necessary force for any functioning city. It is sad to see them make immoral or unethical decisions, but no one is perfect, and its undoubtedly a difficult job.

Vid 1. Cops are setting up Uber drivers who are picking up people without using the app apparently. Threaten to arrest the person filming claiming he is interfering with an investigation

First one - legit operation, people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy a medallion to be able to pick up fairs in the street. It is illegal for others to pick up fairs in the street. In New York we have a whole limo and taxi agency whose sole purpose is to stop illegal fares from being picked up and enforce those laws.

Second video - can’t back that piece of chit - only reason to punch a dog if it’s attacking you and need to get it off of you. Not ground and pounding it.
Plus how is that typical police behavior? Every canine officer I know cares for their dogs better than most people care for their kids.

Here's the video. Only like 2 minutes long. Basically 2 undercover cops are trying to get uber drivers to accept rides with cash instead of using the app, by claiming their phone ia dead. Then the cops issue them a citation for not paying taxes or some **** like that.

Basically, it seems like this is a small city that is doing this as a form of revenue, sort of like how small town cops tend to issue speeding tickets for a couple miles over the speed limit. Am a cop supporter, but small towns do use there police as a revenue source many times.

It's a chitty situation but they have to it. You need a license to operate a cab for a reason- this isn't a 3rd world country. People can evade taxes but beyond that, they can commit a crime (kidnap, assault, rob the passenger).

I'm quick to call out cops but this doesn't justify it. The only thing I don't like is them trying to act all tough and bully the guy recording.
