sounded like he got the wind knocked out of him for a seconded. When you make those weird moans like that after a sudden thoracic impact, it typically means you've temporarily caused your diaphragm to spasm or even stop contracting so you cant draw a breath in and all you can do is is panic. Your heart rate instantly goes WAY up so any air in your lungs gets immediately used up, adrenaline instantly shoots way up and your vocal chords contract and stimulate involuntarily usually. The SCARIEST part is that if the impact is large enough, you can recover fairly quicklyBUTyou still need to go to the Er because your diaphragm can become paralyzed later and you will die

I did the same exact thing on a bike when I was like 7. Came done a hill at mach 6 and couldnt make the turn, hit the curb and slid across a driveway. Lost so much skin on that day.

Now I get to watch my kid do equally stupid crap.
