If we don't see any announcement by after hours close, I may sell my shares and buy back in on premarket open Monday

As of now if the agreement didn't go through we'd drop to $12 pretty quickly.. that's going to be an $11 drop if we hit $23 today.

If agreement is reached.. well I don't know where we'd end up.

Just sold my JMIA position. Was up 25% today. Couldn't find any news for it, so I doubt that it'll hold. Another huge run-up that sort of got ignored because it was such a crazy day, lol.

GameStop halted for trading after 70% jump in apparent short squeeze

GameStop (GME) was temporarily halted for trading due to volatility after the stock jumped a whopping 70% on Friday in an apparent crush on short-sellers. The stock resumed trading in the afternoon and was up around 35%.

The backstory behind the massive spike has to do with short seller Citron Research’s recent prediction the stock will go to $20. Over the last week, the stock has done just the opposite. Here’s why:

On Tuesday, Citron’s managing partner Andrew Left announced he would list five reasons why the shares will plunge. Reddit users called WallStreetBets (WSB), a sub-Reddit community on the platform, pushed back on Left’s call and apparently helped create a massive short squeeze on the stock. A short squeeze forces short sellers to buy in order to forestall bigger losses, sending the stock price much higher.

I'll be a little bummed but even if it went straight to 10 I'd still be up around 200% since April so the potential gains far outweigh the potential losses.

He already is. He has $2.6 M in cash in that account. And that is probably why he is holding.

Seems like a nice enough guy.

But lets face it, he got lucky. Which is part of the game. This never would have happened with GME if it hadn't been for a Citron/WSB fued.

Wouldn’t lose anything. My cost basis is 12.50 and it would probably drop back down to that level. I’d still be at like 137k and I started the year 112 so whatever

At some point he will be wrong, but even if he is wrong he still has $3 million cash.


Makes no sense. If he sells now even with tax he still have $8+ million.

Could dump some into ark and put somewhere with nice dividends and never have to stress about anything in life again.
