Soccer or what a lot of other countries call football is a great game idk why its not popular here. One of the reasons I guess could be short attention span of americans that dont wanna watch 90 minutes for a game with a score of 0-1 ? or something? Or maybe its the rolling on the ground exaggeration of fouls to get a referees attention? Other than that though I really enjoy watching it and was upset the euro 2020 was cancelled. I heard that majority of MLS teams dont make a profit and it just continues the cycle of not being able to afford good players. Maybe that is it too? idk

Soccer should be way bigger in the US. I think most Americans just don't have the attention span or are too stupid to appreciate anything other than what's already mainstream here

Yeah its a great game. I wish we had talent in the MLS to justify me paying to watch it. It would be nice to have a sport to follow that isn't pozzed and cucked

I thought it was pretty popular will never reach the heights of nba/nfl but it has a big following in colleges especially for females, i know a few girls who went over there to play college soccer and in the nwsl

It is an american sport but it was based on merging rugby and soccer I think thats where all the stopping got carried away though

Edit: also 1/3 + of the names of baseball players are spanish. idk how that is an american sport

Boring. Nothing happens unless someone scores and scoring is rare. Hate how the clock counts up until the ref decides to call it.

Basketball was invented by Dr. Naismith from Canada boyo.

OP, it's because all of the top tier athletes gravitate towards football, baseball and basketball as kids. Soccer is usually where the guys who couldn't quite be great at other sports fall into.

Add to the fact that one of their main skills is the raw cardio they possess along with the finesse to move the ball and there's a superior sport that already has that: Hockey.

What if americans made their own version of soccer? Reduced the size of the field, and reduced the number of players to 9 or 7 ? I think it would allow more goals.

but I dont want to watch that. I want real soccer and no *******s faking ****. I agree with that being a huge problem.

Yes, it’s similar to rounders, but baseball itself was invented here. Bottom line is culturally we like our “own” sports. Young boys play soccer and if they’re actually athletic, then its on to baseball, football or basketball. Just the way it is here and why we dont have a good male national soccer team. All the good athletes are making more money playing other sports.

Yeah it just sucks I like soccer and other sports but all the other sports got cucked and ruined. I guess if soccer were more popular it would be the same way too but it would be nice one day to take a kid to a sports ball game and not have to watch all this cuckery

It's boring as absolute fuk.
Not sure if it's more or less boring than baseball.
At least in Basketball people score some fuking points. (but it's really just hand soccor, still boring)

In Football and Hockey there are brutal hits to see on top of the scoring, which makes them slightly more entertaining.

Because Americans are simpletons.
I've played heaps of soccer and would rather play it than girdiron or rugby, would never sit a watch an entire game though.

The game is so accessible and easy to set up, it makes sense so many poor countries play it. You literally just need a ball.
