Anyone who uses WSB as a source of investment strategy is a moron, srs. They deserve to be separated from their money. Its good for BS talking, ticker discovery and a quick source of news. Anyone posting tickers are probably selling you the very same option they are spewing on about.

If anything I could see the SEC putting something on WSB as a disclaimer to ensure everyone visiting is informed of the risks up front, and that would mainly be out of self-preservation. If a lot of people are visiting and a lot of people are losing a lot of money because of it, that could probably open up legal avenues for people trying to recoup their money by claiming the regulator didn't protect them

congrats, if it was such a sure fire thing show me your trading account where you got into some shorts or puts, because obviously if it was so certain then you would have put some actual skin into the game?

or are you just talking shid with your buddies like we all do and you got lucky when you "called it"?

also lmao, if you think saying "hey bro there is potential for it to go up but I also think it could go down" is calling it, then man, we need to get you a job on wall street.

I got in at 40 and got out at 115 (on the way up, not down). Made about 20k. Kicking myself because it jumped to the 300’s the next day, but I knew from reading WSB that it was about to be a dumpster fire. The attitude started reminding me of reading thedonald.win after trump lost and they were all convinced he was going to overturn it.

Question - how did you know to buy in at $40?

Read my post above you daft *******. It wasn’t anything I wanted anywhere near. The only side I was interested in was with Puts but premiums were too high and I would’ve felt like the rest of the degenerates messing with this pile of chit.

If you want to see my track record when it comes to trading, feel free to look around the options thread in the education and finance sub here, or ask about me in the unofficial trading thread.

idgaf what you've done with other trades. I'm sure it's well.

don't act big brain on misc like some other tards here acting like you knew what was gonna happen and called it. If you really believed the chit you were saying, you would have put actual money in it. Simple as that.

If you were scared of this trade, which you were, then don't shake ur dik around like you knew what was up. I say this as someone who didn't put anything in btw.

Lol yeah that’s not how smart money works. That’s gambling. I’ve been extremely confident in other positions but didn’t commit simply because it wasn’t worth the risk (money) that could be lost.

Eh don’t know why I’m bothering arguing with a smooth brain who CLEARLY lost his paycheck on GME just lmao

I bought in around that price as well, it was around the time that the citron ******* was railing on wsb and planning on doing a livestream on gme. I knew that it was bound to go up at least somewhat after that.

Also even if wsb is full of retards, some of the guys there actually do some research and post thorough DD. I made some money off of Crispr and ARWR in the past thanks to them lol

Your last line is absolutely correct. WSB had investing savvy people with a high tolerance for risk, but understood margin plays, options, momentum investing, betting on earning calls, etc. that type of knowledge allowed it to be a big but still niche sub. Problem is they are now completely outnumbered by first time investors who opened a Robin Hood account just to buy stock due to fomo.

When this stuff dies down and it’s already doing it a bit, I expect the bag holders to go home in tears and the OG WSB culture to come back. It never was about “sticking it to the hedge funds”. It was about going from middle class to millionaire as quickly as possible

Huh? I literally called it, like to the fukkin day... Again, the only reasons I didn't enter a position is because 1) premiums were too high, but you probably don't understand what I'm talking about, and 2) didn't want to touch this dumpster fire at all, and the absolute degeneracy filled gambling it was/is.

But yeah, I don't know chit, aside from calling it, and having an extensive reputation in the trading threads.
