yikes. I still wanna jump out of plane tho

"Jeanna Renee Triplicata and her grandmother planned to go skydiving, which was on the teen’s bucket list. The teen was with her instructor, experienced skydiver Nick Esposito, conducting a tandem jump when their parachute failed to open."

"The teen’s parents, siblings and a family friend went with Triplicata and her grandmother Sunday, July 12, to watch them. The family saw the grandma land within their view. When it was Triplicata’s turn, the family did not see the student’s parachute land."

I think you took the bait on that troll post, lol.

Everybody knows about the “cement effect” water has when you land on it hard and fast.

It’s the safest form of travel. And dying from skydiving also has ridiculously low stats. So we’ve been successful in the air for the most part.

My days of watching those Face of Death videos/pics are a good decade behind me but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a skydiving victim’s body. Does it just splatter like a dropped water balloon? I’d imagine you could smell the poop pretty well if that’s the case.

Would never sky dive or bungee jump.

Last girl I dated was all about skydiving. It seemed like the only thing in her life she wasn't a nihilist, depressed mope about. When I see people talking about sky diving it reminds me of people who trauma bonded.

why would that help? water isn't soft and you'll still die on impact from that height...also you'd drown if you did live since the chute would carry water and drag you down.

Just recently saw something about this on how to survive.

Was basically aim for things to help break your fall (trees/swamps) trees probably best because even an undeployed shoot can get tangled up slowing you down.

Then also land feet first basically sacrificing your legs to try to absorb as much of the impact as possible. You'll prob end up a cripple from shattered legs but you may survive.

Feet first into a significant tree canopy seems like the highest possible chance of survival.
