Packing a lunch past 28 years old

What do you think of people who pack a lunch each day, brown bag or pale, then bring it to work like a kindergartner?

Edit: what i mean is bringing a lunch pale with string cheese and juice boxes as a 53 year old man.

Would much rather have bomb leftovers or handmade sandwiches and candied salmon then eating out every day gets old.

I usually keep food in the fridge but I don't pack lunches. For some reason I feel bad for the 50 yr old dudes packing their lunch. I don't know why. There's something solemn about it but I can't figure out why.

nothing wrong with packing a lunch man. before covid, i did that 4 days a week and then get lunch/brews with the boys on fridays.
can save a fortune and do other things with that money. plus we cook way better food/use better ingredients than the lunch places around me unless you start heading a few more blocks over but screw paying $15 for a sandwich

True. Not trying to judge. I guess what I'm aiming this question at is adults who are bringing fruit rollups and gogurt to work in a lunch pale... and they don't have kids. Are they doing it because it reminds them of childhood? Are they mentally younger than their age? I want to understand but instead of asking them I observe. Its amusing to me.
