Sucks that the rules changed, but when you have idiots buying a short squeezed stock like GME on margin at such high volumes, when you consider the massive swings of a short squeeze stock, a lot of these idiots are getting margin called. Robinhood probably doesn't have the funding to cover margin calls like that and when you add up that massive amount of margin call volume you have Robinhood essentially loaning them money that they'll never get back. It's a fuk up on the institutional investors that shorted the stock so much, but really you can't blame Robinhood for what happened. If they had not intervened they probably would've gone out of business once GME plummeted because they had to cover so many people's margins. Chit ordeal all around. I think if anything the major flaw here on Robinhood's side is if they helped institutional investors cover their shorts through halting, but I don't know how one would prove that.
well I think he wisened up and changed his story now.

I think before he flat out denied it was a liquidity issue but now changing his tune to saying that was the reason probably after being groomed by lawyers

Lmao Robinhood used to have what was known as an infinite margin loop. Take $1000 and buy $1500 of stock/options/whatever. Then keep buying more and more as your equity value goes up from using margin and you could just keep buying more as you got more "equity" from your margin.

I think margin might go away unless you have money in your account to cover.

Not necessarily if you have the liquidity/stocks in your account cover it.

Nuclear/Uranium is honestly something I'd look at long term. If we want to get off fossil fuels, nuclear is going to be the only truly viable alternative IMO

Don't know the industry well though

Germany is prioritizing the closing of nuclear plants over closing the coal plants. When the people don't want nuclear, it doesn't matter that it's a great energy source. That's the problem.

Is this bullchit hearing the reason the market is down today?

I say again, nothing will happen because of this. The government is actually full of some of the dumbest people you could imagine.

Finally in PLTR 100 shares at 24.95 long term.

From earlier in the thread:

Massive retarded money to be made in these things, look what TSNP just did. $0.001 to over a dollar in 4 months. XMET and AWGI have the same potential once they get their reverse mergers announced, but they're currently in the shell phase awaiting announcements on what companies they'll be reverse merging with (assuming that they do). I got each one under half a penny, they're both almost at a penny now. I put about $500 in each. Way way better odds than the lottery and the people handling the transitions for the reverse mergers (David Lazar for XMET and Paul Moody and Jeffrey Denunzio for AWGI) have great track records with OTC SPAC reverse mergers. One of Moody/Denunzio's recent one's had a 10,000% run up (TKSI reverse merged to NKMH, google it and google these guys).

Here's your very in depth XMET DD:

CLIFFS:

-Defunct Music streaming site "XXStream Entertainment" from the early 2000s
-Former CEO Mario Pino was some Vegas scam artist or something that illegally issued 8 billion shares to friends and family.
-XMET has been toiling away on the stock market as an OTC. It's a nothing company, does nothing, no revenue, nothing. Just a waste of space on the stock market.
-Chinese businessman Wei Tan has purchased the ticker from "ticker custodian custodian" David Lazar for $220k. Lazar has cleaned the shell, and has a great track record with OTC shell companies and reverse mergers like this. Lazar himself owns 16 million shares.
A court ruled last week that nobody from the Pino days would be allowed to object to the new owners wiping out those shares if they do so choose.
-Wei Tan has a history of IPOs and works/possibly lives in Shenzhen, which is considered the "Silicon Valley of China". No word on what the company could be but his location has people excited. Plenty more great info on their Stocktwits page:

Merkel has been anti-nuclear power since at least 2010, shes been saying wind and solar are superior for a decade now.

Nuclear always gets left out of green deals. Just imagine if it got some of those wind/solar subsidies instead of getting phucked by regulations...
Politicians are willingly ignoring the fact that wind and solar aren't reliable.
