I keep telling myself that I may want to finally settle down, to soon remember why I rather be single after going on a few dates. Not that I don't like a woman's company, but I get bored after a few times. Then I prefer to be left alone and focus on myself. I just really don't have much desire to share my entire life with someone else, they're all replaceable. I've tried the whole relationship thing, but I only desire woman sexually and that's it. I'm 30 and if anything my mind is more settled on the idea that's what I prefer, as i've dated multiple women in the past. I don't enjoy compromise in my personal life. (Ded fkn Srs)

In my experience caving into or doing things out of fear have a high chance of back-firing. What we need are solutions to problems instead of just applying a black or white mentality.

Perhaps people can form communes where they can effectively create a family without being compelled to marry and have kids. It's not the worst solution to this dilemma but until we can find better it seems like an option.

I am 40+. have a group of mates ive known since teens.

7 married. 1 not

Guy not married is always asking to do stuff - no partner and lots of freedom. Makes lots of money and well off. Sends us pics of his slays which are frequent (apparently women 35-43 know their used by date is coming up and are open for business). He seems like pretty much what youd expect. Does things at funny times since he has freedom (e.g. up 24 hours playing, working, then may just snooze off for a few days). Has a dog which he treats like his partner. I love how people say having kids gave them a reason to live basically. If you didn’t have a purpose to live beforehand, I feel bad for your kids. Raising kids today in this social media, fake news, driven Sh!t show and hoping they turn into upstanding citizens is a huge gamble. You are a co parent, like it or not. Same. I got buddies that got kids now so for the most part the chit we used to do(bar/club, etc) isn't on the menu anymore. But I think Society's been casting that trick on men to find someone in the 20s and once you're in your 30s you should settle down, when that's advice for women because men's value is higher then women in their 30s. and 40s than women's.

But a key factor that a lot of people don't talk about, is the need to go out and make new friends. That dude who has all friends that has kids and he's trying to always get them out needs to realize their priorities are different. So the mission shouldn't be to see if Tony can kick it at the bar for 2 hours before his wife hits up him an hour later talking about how the baby is vomiting and he gotta come home.

The mission is to keep making friends and forming bonds with people as you age to enjoy having a social life.

Having kids is an insurance policy as much as it is anything else.

Sure, you can have an awesome son who is fun to hang out with. That is the ideal scenario. But what if you have a daughter that is a sloot? Or a son that is a transgender social justice warrior? Can you imagine how much that would suck?! And that is before you even think of how many dollars and hours of your life they are going to steal as you take care of them.

But when you are old, there is a real chance you might need someone to take care of you. And most people cannot afford a nurse around the clock. If you raise your kids right, they should be able to look out for you when others won't. Even if you have a wife, who is to say her own health does not fail, or that she does not die first?

Im 33 and have had to change friend groups, my best friend had a kid and now I rarely ever see him and his wife (who used to be really cool) is miserable to be around after a while. Im investing alot more into a friendship with another guy who is unable to have kids with his wife. They are both great Christian people that I admire alot so im learning to be a better person and a better Christian just by being in their proximity.

I am glad I started saving for retirement in my 20's and am pretty secure financially. Without having that comfort I would be a wreck. I honestly love where I'm at in my life. I dated my high school sweetheart until I was about 30 and am so glad I cut ties with her as if I had been an uninformed simp she would have taken every dollar I had and I would have been starting at 0.

He is by himself - but our group has been very close since school, hes always trying to convince us if it aint working to do the single thing because its fun and theres lots of holes out there (He was with a girl until 2 years ago). I'm mid 30s, and a single guy. As most have said, there's a certain emptiness to being single in your 30s but generally I'm a pretty happy person and can obtain the missing things enough to generally keep me sane.

I recently was traveling with a girl for about four weeks total, and I don't really know if I preferred it over being single. And mind you, this is being with a 8.5-9/10 girl on vacation compared to being single at home. There are certain elements of life that are better with a girl, but goddamn the loss of freedom is tough. As an introvert, I'm fairly certain the loss of freedom would give me mental illness eventually even though getting regular high-quality pussy is good. But I don't actually know if regular sex is worth all the BS.

I've lived in Latin America. All I ever saw were really fat women with bad attitudes. The Feminist / Queer thing is almost as bad there as it is in the west now. Girls all got hairy arms too.

I think the reason why Latinas in USA are considered 'good' is because they know they're lower on the racial totem pole and try to be less bitchy than white coutnerparts. I’m not interested in providing a lifestyle for someone else. I want kids and see that as the final piece of my own self-fulfillment but it has to be with the right person. Even then, things can go wrong.

Marriage is sort of the ultimate govt cucking- involving the gov in a private contract between two people. My hedge is if she makes 6 figs it won’t hurt me as bad as if I married a homemaker.

If the institution of marriage were not as punitive against men I could loosen my standards but in 2021 you need to check all the boxes for me to consider committing. I have a LTR but won’t marry until her future is more certain.

There are a few miscers like this who claim they are doing well financially, want children, but either can't find a good woman to marry or are too picky/too scared.

I've never fuked a Latina in the US, but have had sex in 10 or so Latin American countries at this point. There is definitely more feminism than like 7 years ago when I first visited(because they are all hooked on social media), and it's probably not as easy to get laid as it once was(or maybe my standards are higher now). Still though, I visited Thailand last year and couldn't even get excited about the girls after doing Latin America enough. I promise you Asia will be an afterthought once you get hooked on that Latin passion.

Turn 33 this year, single, make a good amount of money, save a good amount of money, live by the beach, life is good.

I have thought about finding a girl to settle down with, but every relationship I've been in, I get annoyed with the girl because I'm so used to my freedom, lack of communication, etc. God forbid you wife a girl up and then that happens, would be terrible. It does kinda suck seeing all the girls you've dated get wifed up though and you think if maybe you should have, but then you remember the little stuff and you're like nope.

I'm starting to think I should just get with my long term FWB. Super chill, we both have the same job which is a major perk (understanding odd hours and behaviors), have gotten along for a few years and never been pissed at her, but also because I just didn't give a fuk the whole time. Basically if I want kids though, should have them in the next few years. Being senile when my kids are not even 30 doesn't sound good for them or me.
