General advice is always the same
Keep it simple, clean and make sure your clothes fit.
Google what colors look good with your skin tone, hair color, eye color. Use these colors as accents with neutral colors (black, white, grays). If you want to get real fancy stare a color wheel that shows you complimentary and contrasting colors so you can highlight more.
BTW shoe color matters in that puzzle too.
Take a guy with black chinos, a white T and slap some red chucks on him vs white leather sneakers and you have two different looks. One is very clean, one is clean but has some pop. Just depends what you like.
With a suit or something more formal you have belt color matching shoe color all playing into the overall look. Blazer, dress shirt, pants, etc.
If that sounds like a lot of work just stick to the basics - clean, simple, well fitted clothes. If you want to get dressy then get someone to help you put it together.

You should never be wearing an under armor polo unless you’re golfing or coaching a sports team in your off time. Snag a couple of proper polos like the ones here:https://www.kentwang.com/polos/polo-maroon.html
Grab a couple of oxford cloth button downs in colors like blue, white, and pinkseehttps://www.everlane.com/products/me...n=mens-uniform
These are a casual fabric, roll up the sleeves to your forearms and leave untucked and you can pair with jeans or chinos. Blue, white, and pink will go with light and dark khaki chinos, navy blue, and grey ones as well which are slightly nicer option than jeans. Don’t wear athletic shoes with jeans or chinos.
Since your in Vegas you could look into some linen shirts too so you’ll be cool even if wearing long sleeves. The great thing about the above is it can be dressed up or down. Throw on a watch that isn’t gaudy or even a Apple Watch and that’s accessories down. I’m not a fan of necklaces really but certain bracelets are good too.
For shoes it depends but I’m a fan of boots like Wolverine 1000 miles although you dont need to drop that kind of cash (I thrifted mine) or Chelsea boots and loafers for casual wear. I’m also a big fan of fun socks for a little flair.

Basic colored tee’s in shades that flatter your skin tone and complexion are always stylish.
Dark wash jeans and Chucks are always a clean look.
For outerwear a zip up hoodie, or a casual style jacket, I’ll have to send you a pick later since I can’t think of the name of it right at the second.
But making sure your clothes are made of quality fabrics and fit well, it makes a big difference.
Above all, be confident.
If you go on YouTube, look up men’s basic capsule wardrobe, and you’ll get some good ideas.

Here's what I suggest:
-Murano liquid luxury v neck.
-Murano liquid luxury polo. Plain colors. No strips or any of that nonsense.
-Good pair of jeans. Levi 514s work well for me.
-Either vans, Chucks or boots.
-Leather belt that matches the shoes.
Get jacked to the point where you fill out the shirt/jeans. Obviously the boots/polo for when you want to look a little nicer. The V-neck and sneakers for more casual wear.
I feel like a large portion of guys are either try hard that go full retard into trying to look fashionable or are full retard into just wearing some ill fitting jeans and a Walmart logo t-shirt.
IMO just filling out a plain t-shirt or v neck and a good pair of jeans looks way better then being try hard or over-dressed. And when I say filling out a shirt I don't mean going too tight like a lot of other lifters. It doesn't have to be 'tight'. Just needs to fit decent across the chest/arms.

Out of curiosity is the athletic polo customary for non uniformed appearances in Vegas Cherry? Lawyer so I can’t imagine being in court in anything less than a suit.
What would you suggest instead?

But officers don’t give a fukk in my experience
Most of us roll out of bed upset we even have to be at off duty court appearances, usually I toss on some jeans and a polo
No point in getting all dressed up just to sit around for 2-3 hours and not even do anything

-Nice fitted tees, polos, henleys, button downs (gray, navy, olive, tan and/or muted patterns)
-Blue wool sportcoat, cream linen sportcoat
-Levis 541(1 dark blue, 1 black), stretch trousers (navy, cream, olive)
-Chucks, Greats, leather derbies, leather oxfords, black leather boots, brown leather boots
That's about what my daily worn wardrobe consists of. Earth tones, clean lines and simple style. Nothing crazy or loud since I like to blend into the crowd.

Fit and style is more important imo.
Knowing what i know of you you seem both a band geek/ metalhead type and slightly nerdy.
So, i guess i could see you a bit preppy. Im thinking like business attire almost
And if not that i see you in like styled jeans and a loose, baggy band shirt..
Guys clothes are rather limited. You can make a simple v-neck and chinos look above avg. With the right colors and fit
