Being homeless is GOAT, I was homeless several times in Halifax.

Lots of places to get free meals
Homeless shelters/free bed and clothes
Free medication at the hospital
Panhandling for change, good day could make over 100.00
Every other homeless guy knew where to get street drugs
Lots of slooty homeless girls (though not attractive)
Lots of free time to do whatever you want, like go to the library and use public computers, even do street workouts

edit:
Casino nearby, could get smokes off the ground that someone only took a couple puffs off of
Free hygiene products at the shelter
Favourite users

in todays world i'm of the opinion being homeless is not something that anyone is ever forced into due to circumstance but actually a deliberate choice the person makes. many shelters and programs that exist just about every where that can get you food to eat and a bed to sleep in.

That's a long answer to that first question. I guess I'm addicted to pain but I don't do drugs. We're all probably a little mentally ill. Showering is overrated. We didn't bathe regularly in America until like the 1950's when everyone started getting indoor plumbing.

I brush like once a day because I guess I'm just lazy. Plus I like to eat. It's easy to clean up...you just have to find the right places. I never leave places a mess though. In fact, I make sure to never leave any messes. I'm not rude.

I was homeless for about 6 months lived in a tent and slept on pad in graveyard. Made thread about it. Alcoholism is no joke. Sober since aug 20th

Not really. I've sought help from so-called outreach places and they are a joke. No one really cares. It's all smoke and mirrors bullchit. 501c3 organizations geared towards homelessness are nothing but a racket and San Francisco is a prime example of that. They spend hundreds of millions every year in that city on homelessness and the problem has only gotten worse. Money isn't the solution because it isn't appropriated in the right ways. And the main men's shelter where I am near is filled with sexual predators and ****philes and there's no way in the world I could be around people like that because I'd catch a murder case.

Apartments are expensive and property management places have too many restrictions and qualifications. You have to have a pristine credit score and gainful employment and make 3X the rent amount and a whole host of other things. It's maddening.

I enjoy a craft beer every now and again but I would rather just deal with the cold hard facts of being alive and not be numbed out.
